Here it is....Official BillsZone Training Camp Report & Photos from 7-24-03

Well, it's finally here! The Buffalo Bills began their 2003 Training Camp at St. John Fisher college this morning at 8:25am in the rain. They practiced the whole time as a steady rain fell down. This is unusual for the Bills and because of the rain, I did not get there for the morning session. I did however go to the afternoon session and caught some interesting things.
    1. This is supposed to be rookies, selected veterans and free agents, and yet none of the free agents showed up, except Marcus Jones. No Takeo Spikes, No Sam Adams, No Sam Gash, No Jeff Posey, No Olandis Gary. Heck, Bobby Shaw didn't even show up.

    2. Marcus Jones was out there, but you didn't see him much. He had some nice plays out there. But he wasn't on the field often. You have to think that they want to let him rest his injury a bit and not rush right into everything. I think he will be at full strength when the whole team comes to practice on Sunday. "6. Josh Reed was the star of the day. He made a few amazing grabs and got a round of applause after a sweet diving catch. Drew Bledsoe threw a bomb towards the sideline and Josh Reed literally "leaped" into the air to get it. Reed also stayed around to sign autographs until the very last fan left the fence. It was nice to watch him smile as one young fan said... "Peerless Who?" "

that is what i like to hear!!!

"5. Terrence McGee could have been seen as the defensive star of the day. He ticked off a bunch of receivers as he batted the ball away. At one point, McGee tipped the ball and made Reed miss it. He also tipped a perfect pass away from #17 Rodney Wright. "

i am telling you now.. i have a really weird feeling about this kid.. i like him a hell of alot from everything i have read so far.. and this was after being SO disappointed when we drafted him.

great work mike.. i, for one, cant tell you how valuable this type of stuff is to me, being that i cant make it to any of this stuff.. i really truely appreciate every bit of your efforts.

McGee was playing CB. He was good. They also used him on STs. Kelsay looked huge. He is tall and Ryan Denney looked like he put on some more weight. Kelsay was fast, especially coming around a corner. Tell me what you wanna know...and I will try to get that in my next report.
