I don't wish any ill will on the guy but he was kind of a turncoat signing with the Patriots who unceremoniously dumped him.

Only 32 teams and fleeting opportunity for a middling TE. I can't blame him for trying to extend his career there. I would have done it too. Besides what was so special that Buffalo did for him? They didn't jump up and offer to hold on to him.

Tough game. He's not old

Good luck to him. Always liked him as a player.

Likeable guy, played hard he was just clumsy.

His dig out TD celebration will always be remembered.

Yup and it'll be the same result.

Saved him from NFL purgatory and gave him a shot here. Of course he screwed that all up with the fumbles and everything but that's on him. He should have known Belichick wouldn't tolerate it.

Well, I know none of you guys would ever take a job with your company's competition if they decided not to re-sign you to a new contract.

Hands of stone. Looked like the love child of Pete Metzelaars and Frankenstein.

That's harsh. Reality is he needed a job and the Pats offered him one. It was a great opportunity that unfortunately for him he literally let slip through his fingers. If there was a ceremony when he was cut he would have dropped the mike.

So your expectation is what, exactly? That when a team cuts a player that player has some obligation to NOT go to certain other teams?

My opinion is that a player can go play for whoever he wants, and a fan can choose to either care or not care about that player after he makes that decision. When players go from Buffalo to New England, I generally find myself not caring about them anymore. As is the case with Scott Chandler, he's dead to me.
