Goodell will still make him sit for the opener.

Re: Reports: LeSean McCoy will not be charged for bar fight
Of COURSE this was announced today. Most of Philadelphia is only thinking about Nova being in the finals tonight..."'Clean up your room.', 'Stand up straight.', 'Pick up your feet.', 'Take it like a man.', 'Be nice to your sister.', 'Don't mix beer and wine, ever.'. Oh yeah, 'Don't drive on the railroad track.'"
"Eh, Phil. That's one I happen to agree with."

If that's accurate, he did nothing wrong.

I can see goodell going either way. one, he's gun shy from the brady fight or 2, he wants to assert his authority, especially after he gives the pats their pic back and makes a couple ridiculous player suspension calls.

Re: Reports: LeSean McCoy will not be charged for bar fight
I'm pretty sure that Nigel Bradham's marijuana possession arrest resulted in all charges eventually being dropped, but he still got suspended for a game 14 months after the arrest. I think some other players like Pacman Jones have gotten suspended just based on reputation of being a repeat offender without actually being charged with anything.
The fact that this incident involved violence is bad for McCoy. Goodell took a ton of heat for not being tougher on players committing violent acts, so I think he's more likely to lean towards suspension whether it's fair or not.
