I suspect by then we will be facing a losing season. The games will all sell out but there will be a sparse crowd for the Browns and Dolphins games. The Steeler fans travel well so that December game is a hot ticket.

That schedule before the bye is brutal.

That part has 3-6 written all over it.

Stretch it to 4-5 and beat either Cincy or Pitts to finish up 10-6 and they got a shot.

3-6 and they'd have to win out, which would be a tall task.

Figure a legitimate record of around 7-9

More people than ever before seem to be really down on the Bills. Can't blame them, but there's always been the optimists. Hard to be optimistic after 16 years without a playoff berth. Hope springs eternal, I think.

Doesn't the law of averages have to eventually kick in?

Why does Murphy's Law always rule against the Bills?

I'm starting to believe in some kind of curse that Doug Flutie put on the team after they benched him in '99.

The Curse of The Mullet must be broken. The only way to do it is by creating a rhyme and repeating it 16 times.

Waiting until after the draft to make any season record predictions, but I do think the Bills will finish better than 8-8.

I think it's going to be a very happy New Year in Buffalo come 2017.

Baltimore, the Jets twice, the Rams, Miami twice, San Fran, Jacksonville, Cleveland, Oakland.

No game in London.

The left coast games are against a franchise that just moved with a rookie quarterback, and a franchise with its window of opportunity closing on a Monday Nighter.

The Bills don't play the Chiefs this year, finally.

Yeah the more I thought about it I actually like it now. Their bodies should be fresher so recovering on a few days rest shouldn't be as big a deal since it's only week 2. I'll give the Bills a one-game improvement over their 8-8 record last season, mostly because I believe that their offense -- which they kept intact this offseason -- can do some damage if stars such as LeSean McCoy (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/12514/lesean-mccoy) and Sammy Watkins (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/16725/sammy-watkins) stay healthy. How Rex Ryan's defense performs in Year 2 is the wild card, and he'll need some younger players to step up and fill holes this season. The defense's success is far from certain. -- Mike Rodak

The Dolphins' roster, as it currently stands, isn't much better than the team that won six games a season ago. They are in a rebuilding year under rookie head coach Adam Gase, and the Dolphins have the 11th toughest strength of schedule that includes 2015 playoff teams such as the Patriots (twice), Cardinals, Seahawks, Steelers and Bengals. -- James Walker

Uncertainty over quarterback Tom Brady's availability for the first four games (with the NFL's appeal of his suspension ongoing) sparks a more conservative projection. The stretch from Week 14-16 -- in which the Patriots host the Ravens, visit the Broncos and then host the Jets in a span of 13 days -- looks like one of the toughest parts of the schedule. -- Mike Reiss

Until the Jets get their quarterback situation resolved, it's hard to predict a winning season. Even if Ryan Fitzpatrick returns, the team will take a step backward. This is a tougher schedule than last season's, as they face the defensive-minded NFC West. After overachieving last season at 10-6, they're due for a market correction. -- Rich Cimini

The Bills have the third toughest strength of schedule in the AFC. In fact, every team in our division tops that list. It goes:

1) Jets
2) Patriots
3) Bills
4) Dolphins
5) Chargers
Etc...

Of course, this is based on last year's teams and won't be the same exactly this year. We knew this before the schedule came out, but it's worth mentioning here.

I find nothing much to complain about with the schedule this year as far as the way it's organized. Three trips to the west coast isn't that great, but whatever. Seems like, for the most part, we face our toughest opponents in back-to-back weeks in a couple of stretches. I'm not sure whether that's good or bad.

It looks like the end of the season stretch is easier than the first part in general, which might help if we get bit by the injury bug something fierce.

I hope Brady does get suspended for four games. I'd think that even if we weren't playing the Pats in week four. But c'mon now...where are all you a-holes predicting that the suspension will probably be reduced to three games, sending Brady on an evil mission to slaughter the Bills in his first game back? You're slacking.

if the pats have owned us for almost 20 years and the league is so hung up about parity, why can't we face them both times with both teams getting 7 days rest. again they come of their Thursday game and play us. this has been brought up ad naseum to the league by the bills, by reporters, and yet, they still give the pats a distinct advantage before a single snap is taken. if the pats aren't the most coddled team in the league....

I see the bills going 9-7. having a coach that doesn't make good critical in game decisions and a qb that is just mediocre suggests winnable games will be lost. however, the bills have some talent and may win a game or two that they shouldn't. this all shakes out to about 9-7.

They need better coaching, more consistent QB play, more talent on D and half the NE Patriots to die to have any shot at the play-offs.

Why ?? We drilled Miami, they have no way to stop us from scoring & made our defense look legendary. The NYJ will be tougher but in all honesty, if the Bills can sweep them & beat the weak west cost, 10-6 is happening.

I also noticed that Christmas falls on a Sunday this year. Only a couple of games will be played that day. Most of the rest happen on the Saturday before, including the Bills game. Watch the Bills beat the Dolphins at home on Christmas Eve, and then go eat your Christmas ham the next day, or whatever the hell it is that you people do.

That was an old regime and sooooooooo last year. I actually have the Jets as a possible sweep since as of now... Me and Lechter or on the QB depth chart. (Swiper didn't make it to the practice squad)

Miami will have a better offense with a real coach instead of a cheerleader. I think Tanny is far superior to TT. They did have a major pass rushing drop off even with Mario being there but Cam is old and hobbled and Vernon is gone.

Bills Split.

Bills losses... Miami, NE, NE (again) ARIZ, SEA, OAK, CIN, PITT,

First part of the sched is 50-50. Tough games but all winnable IMO aside of course from NE (unless Brady is suspended)

Middle part is brutal with the back to back games on the road vs Seattle and Cincy with NE before that. That has 0-3 written all over it.

Last part is friendlier with the 3 straight home games and the visits aren't all that bad to Oak and Jets

I think Buffalo splits the division, 3-3.
AFC North is tough, with maybe the best team, in playoff mode, coming to OP---1-3, 4-6 overall.
NFC West is up (Seattle and Arizona) and down (San Fran and LA Rams)...best case is 2-2, 6-8 overall.
They SHOULD beat Jacksonville at home (wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, though) and Oakland on the road is always a killer...1-1, 7-9. I don't see much 'luck' getting to .500 or better, and injuries/lack of depth could push that down to 4 or 5 wins.

I'm saying the same things I've been saying all off-season. We were 8-8 last year with an easier schedule. I understand why Mario, Bradham and McFumbles aren't here anymore, but to date we haven't replaced them with anyone better, and all the best FA's are gone and we have no cap space. We've had a net talent loss.

We are going to need 10 wins to make the playoffs, which means the draft has to add enough talent to get two more wins while overcoming a net talent loss from last year's 8-8 squad and a tougher schedule. It's not being a "negative nancy." It's reality. An unfortunate reality, but still reality.

I don't think we are that bad but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility.

In that span, we have 2 games against NE, 3 WC trips including Seattle on Mon night, on the road for another team's home opener and a night game as our home opener after a short week (while the curse seems to have lifted, the Bills' record in night games is still not good), and a home game against a team that was in the NFC Championship last year.

If we don't pull off any upsets and we drop one or two that we should win, 2-10 is not impossible.
