I'm coming for the home game vs Philly. Where is a good place to stay near the stadium? By good I mean close and cheap.

I stayed in the Orchard Park motel once. It is cheap. The room was ok. The shag carpeting on the headboard matched the stuff on the floor, the bathroom door didn't close, and you had to jiggle the handle to flush the toilet. But is is just down the street from the stadium on Southwestern Blvd.

And the body under the matress had $7 in his pocket!

Where you comin' from M?

Up in Amherst there's a Red Roof and an Econolodge, both were reasonable all the times I've stayed at them. They're near UB/Amherst, Duff's, and Rootie's and are convenient for going to the Falls.

Off of Exit 49 of I-90 there's another Red Roof and a Microtel as well. They're probably pretty inexpensive.

On the south end, there's a Red Roof at exit 55 I think it is. Also inexpensive but not particularly convenient to much except the game, which it's probably more convenient to since it's comin' from the other side where fewer people come from on game days.

Other options, there's a slew of hotels/motels right off of exit 46 in Rochester. There are several folks from Roch going to that game as well. I'll be up for the weekend, so we could do a 'pre-party' on Sat. evening if we want.

Choices, choices, choices....

:)

A poster from Ohio said he found a good rate at the Tally-HO Motel which is right off the thruway Hamburg exit. Maybe 10 min from the stadium

Doesn't he call his house the Orchard Park Hotel?

Who care's what he calls it, just show up and tell him to let you in.

If it's late at night or very early in the morning just bang on the windows really loudly!

He'll appreciate that...

I'll be coming from the east on I 90. Has anyone heard of the McKinley Park Inn. Supposedly it's 1/4 mile from RWS.

I stay at the Sheraton Four Points hotel where the Bills stay! It's more expensive than the other hotels, but I don't care. It's clean, nice and I can see the players walking around. :)

Is that within walking distance of the stadium?

if so, that's where I want to stay.

How much does it cost?

I'll have to buy me some football cards or something prior to that game.

The Sheraton is ten miles away and I just checked it's 138 for a double occupancy.

We stay at the Clarion in Williamsburg. Under $45 a night, clean, comfy, indoor pool, cheap breakfast. The Ralph is about 20 minutes away.

I've stayed there.....it's "ok", not the worst place I've been to. It is pretty close to the stadium, not far from my mother's house.

The McKinley Park Inn is good. It is roughly a mile from the stadium. It is within walking distance if you are up for it.

3950 McKinley Pkwy
Blasdell, NY 14219
(716)648-5700
(716)648-5700 (FAX)

Take the NYS Thruway to exit 56, take a left on Milestrip (179) up to McKinley Parkway. Take a right at that light (the 2nd light). God down past the mall and when you pass all of the shopping crap and you start to go up a hill, the MPI is just up on your right hand side.

If you come out of the MPI and take a right and go to the first light, it will be on a 7 corners, take a left onto 20 go down to the next right and the stadium is on your right.

I can't vouch for how cheap it is but I remember someone once telling me that the cheapest rate around this area is the Tall-y-hotel which is right off of exit 57. You would take a right out of there to the light at 20, take a right, go past 3 lights, the fourth is Abbott Road, the stadium is on the right.

How late can bars stay open at in Buffalo?

Maybe I'll just spend the night in a bar.

I have family in Blasdell but if I am driving I am thinking of putting up a tent at Hammers Lot. I have a gazebo which would allow me someplace to stay away from mosquitos and this way I could just crash and wake up when everyone gets there for breakfast.

I'll just give the Bartender a 20, and crash at a table, and tell him to wake me up when he closes or something.

I'll do it homeless style.

Maybe if I took up tweaking it would be.

But that $#!+ is junk and I won't touch it, and I won't have anything to do with people that do do it.
