Hopefully another option emerges for the backup position. EJ needs some competition and I doubt Cardale Jones is it. Hopefully the O-line performs as well as last year.

Not likely. For as abysmal as he was in the regular season in 2015, EJ was very strong in the preseason. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that happens again.

Doesn't matter, EJ will be the backup coming out of camp regardless of how good or bad Jones looks against backups and roster cuts.

I expect Jones to be the 3rd qb even if he looks good in training camp and preseason. I don't think they want to put that kind of pressure on him in the first year. He'd probably get more reps and opportunities to develop his game by running the scout team. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not inactive for games though, and they still use him on some designed run plays.

EJ shined last season playing vs the camp fodder of other teams so a repeat performance might be in the books. Also Cardale JOnes sucks. Yes even more than EJ so fancy that one. Its the toilet Bowl of back up QB's. **** salad or **** sandwich.
