The Bills have lost all contact with tackle Seantrel Henderson

Players retire or fade away from the NFL, sometimes in their athletic prime, but rarely do they disappear. The Buffalo Bills don't know where offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson is, the Buffalo News reported. Weeks after offseason training started, the Bills have yet to get in contact with the 24-year-old tackle, who has started 26 games the past two seasons. Henderson was once one of the top recruits in the 2010 high school class, played at Miami and eventually tumbled to the seventh round of the 2014 draft after multiple failed drug tests. He seemed to have his NFL career on track however, but then he went MIA.
The Buffalo News said coach Rex Ryan hasn't talked to Henderson since last season and teammates haven't heard much from him either. Ty Dunne of the Buffalo News wrote that some Bills players "aren’t sure when or if he’ll be back." Henderson's battle with Crohn’s disease is cited by Dunne as a likely reason he hasn't been heard from.
“I can’t really recall talking to him,” Ryan said. “I think he has been in since then but I haven’t talked to him personally.”
The Buffalo News reported that Henderson might have had surgery for Crohn's disease this offseason. Crohn's disease caused Henderson to miss the final five games last season.

Well, good thing we drafted an OT this year for depth/development.

Re: The Bills have lost all contact with tackle Seantrel Henderson

Where in the world is Seantrel Henderson?
      Nobody seems to know.
The Buffalo Bills starting right tackle through the 2014 season who then started again in 2015 before missing the final five games due to Crohn’s disease is off the NFL grid. Head coach Rex Ryan said last week he hasn’t even spoke to Henderson since last season ended. Teammates haven’t heard from him. Henderson sifts into a group text message here and there but some players at One Bills Drive aren’t sure when or if he’ll be back.
Through a month of mysteries revealed — Shaq Lawson’s shoulder, Sammy Watkins’ foot, the General Manager's take on football's violence — the Henderson mystery remains unresolved.

        "Lost all contact"?????

Everything so far has been voluntary this year, hasn't it?

They make it sound as though the Bills have been trying to contact Henderson but couldn't. That's not the case, is it?

Well I guess the Bills never bothered to talk to his agent?

Seantrel Henderson is on track to return to the Buffalo Bills and compete for a starting spot after all.

No, head coach Rex Ryan hasn't spoken to his right tackle, but Henderson will be back at One Bills Drive this week and is cleared to practice after two off-season surgeries. Shortly after our story on Henderson's whereabouts was published, agent Alan Herman returned The News' message to assure Henderson is indeed ready to roll.

After missing the final five games of last season through a brutal bout with Crohn's disease, Henderson underwent two surgeries to remove all infected areas and reattach his intestines. The most recent surgery was about a month ago. The Bills' medical staff, Herman assured, does know that Henderson has been recovering in Minnesota at the Mayo Clinic and that it's been the tackle's plan to report back to Buffalo June 1 all along.
Good to know one of our players had two surgeries this offseason and our coaching staff had no idea...The idiocy level of this team right now is higher than I ever thought was possible.

Also this little tidbit in Dunne's story is interesting/infuriating...
He endured stinging stomach pains and, Herman said, was not initially diagnosed correctly by the team's medical staff. Henderson lost 20 pounds in all and was even hospitalized in Philadelphia when the Bills lost to the Eagles.
Article goes into some detail about Crohn's disease, but basically due to the severity and mistreatment of it. Henderson had to have his intestine disconnected for about a month and replaced with a bag in order to get the inflammation down. Last month he had surgery to remove the bad and reattach the intestine.

No, per Henderson's agent not one member of the Bills staff has called Henderson all offseason despite him going through two surgeries to address his Crohn's Disease.

Tackle Seantrel Henderson hasn't been around the Bills this offseason, but his agent Alan Herman says that will change on Tuesday.

There's no way even the biggest Ryan fanbois can get around this. Rex is in his own little world that revolves around him, other people just share it when circumstances dictate. I just don't like this guy.

I hope for success but can't expect it, he's just too deficient.

Sounds like a lot of agent speak. I am guessing he was not working out with a colostomy bag so he probably has a long wavys to go from a weight and fitness perspective to be in position to see playing time. I do hope he at least recovers to live a normal life.

Enough is enough. There are so many instances when our medical staff failed. Ok, some of these they might have done their job and the FO overruled them and drafted the player nonetheless. But this just happens too often.
First step: fire the person that was responsible for not firing them the last 5 years
second step: fire the complete medical staff.

Alternative would be. Wait for this season to go down the train and fire everybody after this year. Then draft Jack Eichel ... wait, wrong script.

they don't know where a guy who has had a major medical condition (in terms of keeping weight on in a position that requires size)? This is practically gross negligence. Enough of rex' circus

You would think from at least a business angle, they'd find out.

I know if I was going to be paying a worker a half a million, I'd drop a dime. Who wouldn't?
