It's looking more and more like the Sabres are done on MSG (contract runs out at end of this season) and Pegula Sports and Entertainment is making an WNY sports station ala like the old Empire Sports Network... take a look at this.

:bigwave: MSG

The games are shown on MSG, but they're still produced by the Sabres. All the content for the intermission features and all of the stuff you see on the scoreboard, that's all done by the Sabres.

These jobs don't indicate that they're starting their own network. It would be nice if they did, but these job postings don't mean anything.

They're NOT starting a new regional sports network. Sorry.

But there will be a lot more local stuff appearing on MSG. That may be the reason behind those job postings...

Here's more details, per the Buffalo News(look in the Sabres section for the full article):

*All of the Bills shows that are on WKBW-TV will migrate over to MSG Western New York, and the Bills preseason games will be simulcast on both WKBW and MSG WNY.

*Both Hockey Hotline and The John Murphy Show will be simulcast on WGR and MSG WNY. Andrew Peters stays on HH, but a new co-host will be found. Likewise, Murphy will get a co-host too. Both of those shows will be produced out of studios at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
