I don't necessarily agree ..but I would be happy with stringing at least a couple of playoff appearances in once in awhile.

Respect needs to be earned. What has this org done that would make anyone think they are capable of winning it all?

*Look at list of teams that have never won a Superbowl*
*Sort list by most Superbowl appearances*
*Cross Bengals off the list because they can at least make the playoffs*
*Creates slideshow*
*Earn add revenue*

What a fantastic bit of journalism.

Wow, no Cleveland Browns.

List is automatically disqualified on that alone.

One of these days they'll turn their annual top 5 pick into a franchise QB & turn things around.

Why don't you just copy and paste this in every thread? It amounts to anything you ever say, any detail be damned...

I'll never listen to empty, thoughtless rhetoric.

I already know the Bills have been bad this century. That doesn't mean that every unknown is bad until proven otherwise, or that every detail of past, present or potential future failure is based on the incompetence of the organization. That's just mindless.

It's OK to project something other than blind negativity or caution onto every minute detail of what we don't know yet, I'd say. Something like "I'm optimistic about this prospect"... any kind of actual projection of opinion like that...

Being negative about everything doesn't make Opie insightful in any way. Just expect the worst always and you'll know as much as him.

That's more optimistic than thinking the Bills will even make the playoffs.

I agree with feldspar on the above (I can't copy people's comments anymore for somereason). But I don't think OP is blindly saying the bills suck. that definitely happens on here. and its annoying. I get blamed as a negative nancy as well. and frankly, the rex hire, giving him toys he can use and then trying to get a free agent qb and get a high profile RB sounded like it had a chance to make the playoffs. I didn't think it would result in a big run or even a competitive playoff appearance, but I thought it could end the drought. it didn't. and the KC game just showed how bad rex is and how he has no substance. in my mind he's too proud to learn and he is what he is. I would rather see this team fail and get a new start because we are on a cycle of the same 7-9 with very little hope.

No, you didn't. You tried to make it into the old optimist vs pessimist debate without addressing the point. Earning respect and asking what this team has done to make anyone think they can win a SB are legit questions on this topic.

Can you tell me at least five positive things about this team? Could be anything at all...

It has everything to do with any topic at hand when it comes to you.

Name some positive things about this team at present or projecting into the future...can you do that? Five at least...go ahead. Could be anything, large or small...

You're an absolute buffoon.

Here you go. The TE they way over-payed for is currently healthy. That ought to last about three games.

Again, you're an absolute idiot, daring people to name positives on a historically terrible team that is on a down-turn makes everyone see what an absolute dope you are. Again.

Now, I figure any fan of this team should be able to list five positives...

The topic at hand has nothing to do with me.

In the past, posters on this board- including you, I believe- have criticized me because they claim that every thread I post in turns into the same old positive/negative debate. Fair enough. I am doing everything I can to keep this thread about respect and prospects for winning a SB and you are doing everything you can to derail it. If you want to talk about positives vs negatives with this team, start your own damn thread. If you want to keep posting here, talk about respect or winning SB's. You're so obsessed with the positive- maybe you can start with coming up with something this team has done to earn respect.

Article was titled 4 teams that "may" never win a Super Bowl.

My hm, 45 or so years of observations make me conclude they "might" not ever win a Super Bowl. I sure hope they do, but be realistic.

There's nothing for homers to get their panties in a bunch about here. Doesn't matter what other teams the article references, that's just finger pointing deflection from our own history. "May never" leaves open "might", yes ?

Would be good if they accomplished something, they haven't in an awful long time, they don't look like a contender at the moment, that's just reality without editorial. Too bad if people don't like it, it's just reality and we all have to deal with some of it daily so you may as well get used to it.

I explained that to you before.

To hell with "the topic at hand." I'm asking you straight up to name at least 5 positives about this here team? Why dodge that? We're just having a conversation here.

Perhaps if we were ever in a situation to actually get to know each other, we'd become buddies...then again, maybe not. I don't pull any punches, believe it or not. But I don't get why you'd go so far out of your way to dodge my topic...the topic which I say is now at hand.

Name 5 positives about this team...anything you can think of, be it current or potential. You can't do that? If you can, that would be worthwhile to me to see what you come up with. This is the way ideas are exchanged by way of conversation, BTW. Nothing else.

I'm dodging it because it's off topic. My opinion is that the team has done nothing recently to earn respect and nothing recently to make me believe that they will win a SB in the foreseeable future. That doesn't mean there are no positives. It simply means the negatives outweigh the positives. You have a weird obsession with hearing people say good things about a team that isn't very good.

If this article had been written in 1999 it's quite possible you could argue for New England being on this list. Things can change on a dime and one championship can transform a franchise from laughing stock to a perennial contender.

Articles like this are written to be click-bait rather than provide anything of merit.

Just empty. You say nothing. You may as we'll not even say anything, because that's what all you say amounts to. Like I say, just copy and paste the same old message, guy. There isn't anything you have to say.

The topic is whatever anyone says it is...this is the topic: say five good things about this Bills team which you are a fan of. Your top five. Is this not a worthy topic? Don't tell me again that it's off topic, because that's a cop-out. Cop-out again, big guy, why don't ya?

one thing we can say is the franchise is different now than than before because of ownership, I feel we have a better chance now than we did with Ralph at the steering wheel. Will we ever win one? no one can answer that but as of right now we are a 500 club at best and don't think we get any better this year.
