World of difference for Woods

Explosive off the line, lightning quick in and out of his breaks and acrobatic when going up to pull in passes. It’s all in stark contrast to last season when Woods wasn’t any of those things. The problem was Woods had torn his groin on both sides, yet played through it until the team shut him down for the final two games of the season.
After offseason surgery and rehabilitation, Woods hard work has revealed itself on the practice field. Wednesday may have been his best day this spring. Whether it was consistent separation, running routes with pinpoint precision or pulling in passes that looked uncatchable, Woods did it all in the team’s second minicamp practice.
For the fourth-year receiver just being healthy has made all the difference.
“I feel pretty great,” Woods told Buffalobills.com. “I had a long offseason of training and rehabbing and just getting right. It feels good. It’s like a blessing to be back out here full speed, running, getting open, back to normal. It feels good.”
Woods made several eye-catching receptions during the team portions of practice. His best effort came when <nobr>Tyrod Taylorhttp://www.buffalobills.com/assets/nflimg/icon-article-link.gif (http://www.buffalobills.com/team/roster/tyrod-taylor/50822efc-81dc-4baa-8b40-65ac68a1ee00/)</nobr>’s pass on a post pattern was high and Woods climbed the ladder and did a 180 in mid-air to get his hands in position to make the reception before sticking the landing and getting yards after the catch.
The receiver has proven to be a tough cover for just about every cornerback that has matched up with him.

I've never had any gripes about Woods. He's had 5 QB's in 3 years and had his best season with the only real one (Orton). Besides his injuries last season, it was OJT for Taylor, and I still think the offensive playcalling was/is dysfunctional (Roman, Lee, Lal and maybe Palmer involved), which might smooth out this year, and a big plus if he's healthy.

I think he'll do just fine.

Solid receiver that I was hoping to see a big jump from last year - I didnt know he had a torn groin on both sides, he was probably barely at 50% last year. Lets hope he takes that leap up to a higher level weapon this year

Lots of ifs, but none of them are implausible: if Woods makes a leap because of improved health, if Dez Lewis plays well enough to be a legit red zone threat, if Sammy, Clay, etc. stay healthy, and Taylor throws confidently and well over the middle -- this offense could really take off.

I disagree on that.

-Oline that can't pass protect
-QB that can't/won't throw to the center of the field,
-good stable of RBs
-two good OL, and on OK
-fast scrambling QB

Run a lot of deceptive runs, let the QB run, throw some WR screens to keep the CBs at the line and then hope to hit an occasional deep ball. Seems like a good strategy to me. Fits our personnel perfectly.

IMO Woods is a victim of a bad passing game since hes been here caused by the qb position since he was drafted which in turn caused him not to reach his full potential or hampered his growth.
