I forgot about Theismann's CFL career, but remember watching him play for Notre Dame. Had to look up the dates. Stunned me to realize it was watching him on a black & white in the late 60's.

Was good seeing him. New Tornonto Stadium looks nice, but the open ends are jolting (to me). Not bad, just odd.

Hamilton 18, Toronto 6 at the end of the first half. Argos look like they just collected the players and it's the first time they ever played a game together, with their home field enthusiasm used up in the introductory charge onto the field. With a backup starting, Hamilton looks like it's their stadium and they have their act together.

I'm not optimistic about the 2nd half for the Argos. For being fresh and healthy, Ray is playing like the tin man in the wizard of oz.

Yeah, Ray didn't look that good in the first half.

Watching a CFL game, you did it !

You're being kind about Ray, though.

It helped that I was rooting for Hamilton and they had a strong first half. I have to admit, however, I missed the second half, I just can't waste an entire evening in June watching football.

I can see how some would feel like that. Not me though. I was watching it while fishing for grouper from my yacht off of Bimini with DiCaprio, Taylor Swift, Johnny Manziel (he just shows up everywhere these days), and Kathie Lee & Hoda. DiCaprio found it fascinating that I still prefer to take the beasts with my old Popiel Pocket Fisherman, which I feel adds to the challenge, but I digress....

When I finally get that new bug zapper, I'll stay closer to home and watch less, myself.

The most impressive part of this post is the fact that you still have a Pocket Fisherman.

There are worth a few bucks, I wish I still had mine. They were great for brookies in a creek.

Nothing like taking a 200 lb grouper off Bimini with one and nothing else but your fists while Taylor Swift clenches her cigar and yells encouragement as she tries to get a bead on the fish with her assault rifle, DiCaprio thoughtfully steering the yacht in circles so you don't get lost at sea, bellowing lines from the Titanic.

My original one flew into the Niagara River when I neglected to notice a tree above me. Biggest tree I ever caught with it, a fitting farewell.
