BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns restructured the contract of defensive end Courtney Brown, a former No. 1 overall draft pick whose career has been slowed by injuries the past two years.
By redoing Brown's $5.5 million deal for 2003, the Browns will receive nearly $2 million in relief under the salary cap this season, team president Carmen Policy said Friday.
It's the second time this year the Browns have changed his original six-year, $45 million deal. In March, they restructured a $1 million roster bonus as a signing bonus to free up more money under the salary cap....
