Former Iowa Hawkeyes offensive lineman Kyle Calloway, a 2010 seventh-round draft pick of theBuffalo Bills (http://www.nfl.com/teams/buffalobills/profile?team=BUF), was killed by a train on Saturday in Tucson, Arizona. He was 29 years old.
A Tucson Police Department release (https://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/police/media-releases/Fatal_Pedestrian-Train_Collision_-_S._Rita_Rd_and_E._Old_Vail_Rd.pdf) stated that Calloway was jogging westbound on and off railroad tracks when he was struck from behind by a train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"That was what he did for exercise," Ed Calloway, Kyle's father, told The Gazette (http://www.thegazette.com/subject/sports/former-hawkeye-kyle-calloway-killed-by-train-20160705) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. "He liked to run and it had rained the day before and the area where he ran was muddy, and so he was going back and forth across the tracks to get out of the mud."

Sad story. Kind of a foolish decision on his part, but still.

Geez. What a horrible way to go. He probably had headphones on so he didn't hear the train. Damn man. RIP.

Quite possibly. There's a lot of rail commerce in SW Ohio - tracks are everywhere - and we have several folks die every year. Some of them are drunk folks - numerous youngsters through the years. Very sad...

Nah

His dad said he used to run often.

This sounds like an accident to me. The article I read said that it had rained heavily and the grounds were muddy so he was skipping over the rails back and forth. He probably had some headphones on and simply jumped into his death by accident.

RIP
