Is kevin Sylvester no longer a host of hockey hotline on WGR at 10:00am? Or is he on one hell of a long vacation?

So Sylvester is gone from WGR

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Sylvester_(broadcaster)

I dont mind Craig Rivet as a new host... The other day he said playing in Buffalo you have to deal with 1 or 2 local media guys who are "dirt gatherers" they don't care what happened in the game they just want to find out about gossip and negativity within the team (Jerry Sullivan)? He claimed playing in Montreal you have to deal with 15 local media guys who are dirt gatherers

Rivet and Andrew Peeters were laughing there asses off that at Shea Webers introductory press conference in front of the Montreal media he was grilled about his gaffe in Game 7 of this years playoffs.. That's life as a hockey player in the Montreal fishbowl

Sylvester is currently a "sports wisperer" for the PGA tour. I wonder if I would recognize his voice at 2 dB.

I don't mind the substance of what Rivet and Peters bring, but it's hard to tell them apart, and the Bob & Doug MacKenzie meets Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure act gets grating really fast.

Sylvester was a nice, professional counterbalance, and he wasn't a total shill the way Murph is for the Bills.

Andrew Peeters at times is a dumbass.. He cant understand why Vesey hasn't already signed with the Sabres with all he thinks buffalo has to offer and Rivet had to point out to him there are other teams interested and just maybe there are other great players on other teams he would like to play with

Kollar was good with the analytics and he knew the Amerks situation inside out.. It was Kollar who was the one raving about Reinhart when Reinhart had his short stint with the Amerks and told Sabres fans to stop freaking out because Reinhart got sent back to junior

Yup. Coller knows his youngsters. It'll be really tough to replace his knowledge

Oops Coller not Kollar.. Coach Sal is one of my WGR favs but his knowledge of NFL draft prospects isn't quite as good as Buscaglias was. Buscaglia is missed and Coller will be too.. Other than Jeremy White the station is left with 3 war horses who talk about dead cats on their property and don't do any overtime on draft days or come in early or stay late for big breaking news

and there are now reports that Howard Simon could be jumping ship and taking a job with University at Buffalo, According to sources, UB is looking to expand its sports-related coverage and presence and is looking for someone with Simon’s skills to do so.
