I'm going to opening day in Baltimore

Ravens tickets went on sale yesterday & I got one for the opener. The only bad news is I couldn't talk anyone into going with me. Now most of the tickets are gone, but some of the Ticket Exchange seats aren't much more than what the regular price for the seats are. The best thing about going to Baltimore is that BWI is a Southwest hub & you can fly in the morning of the game & go home at night. Light rail goes from the airport right to the stadium. For me in Albany, it's easier going to Baltimore for a Bills game than Buffalo. I can't fly directly to Buffalo & home on gameday in Buffalo and Southwest from Albany to Buffalo has a stop in Baltimore-no direct flights. Other airlines cost over $500 to go on gameday but the flights leave around 6:15, cutting it too close & are too expensive, especially since there's no direct public transportation to the stadium from the airport.
For fans in Buffalo-if you want to go to the opener, you too can fly in & out of Baltimore the same day and the flights are cheaper than the Albany to Baltimore flights are.

Lookup Charm City Bills Backers on Facebook. They're having a tailgate. Also, a guy who used to post here under the handle R.Rich is having a tailgate/watching party with $10 all you can eat plus drink specials at a bar called Sliders across from the Orioles stadium (the Ravens' stadium is practically right next to it). I'll be at Rich's party. Not sure about the game yet.

Also, a guy who used to post here under the handle R.Rich is having a tailgate/watching party with $10 all you can eat plus drink specials at a bar called Sliders across from the Orioles stadium (the Ravens' stadium is practically right next to it). I'll be at Rich's party. Not sure about the game yet.

I know Rich from my TBD days. I once went to one of the parties when the Bills played in Baltimore on New Year's eve in (I think) 2006. I'll check it out. Thanks for reminding me about the party. Rich is the big guy with the Flowers jersey.

Erik Flowers. One time during the pregame on WGR, Rich walked by their booth & the guy on WGR was stunned when he saw someone in an Erik Flowers jersey and made a comment on the air. I knew immediately that the guy in the Flowers jersey was Rich. His wife is usually dressed in a Steelers' jersey. You can't miss them if they're together.

I just confirmed the tailgate at Sliders over at that other board.
