    Injury bug bites Packers

While the Green Bay Packers have been able to dodge a serious, season-ending injury during the first week of training camp, the list of players heading to the training table seems to be getting longer every day.

On Friday, receiver Robert Ferguson was absent from practice, the result of a bruised tailbone. Tight end Bubba Franks didn’t see contact for the second day in a row after suffering various ailments.

“Ferguson caught a ball yesterday and landed on his tailbone, and kind of has a tailbone contusion. I don’t think it’s going to be a big issue, but it certainly has stiffened him up a little bit and we’re getting him treatment,” coach Mike Sherman said.

“(Franks) sprained his knee (Thursday). He has multiple issues. He has the flu, a sprained knee, a stinger. (I’m) going to give him a couple of days here. It’s very odd that he misses, but based on the number of things he has right now, I’m going to keep him out.”
