ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Left wing Vyacheslav Kozlov, an unrestricted free agent, on Saturday agreed to terms with the Atlanta Thrashers on a new contract.
Terms of the agreement were not released.
Kozlov had 70 points in 79 games last season for the Thrashers, setting a single-season team record with 49 assists. He was second on the team in scoring and ranked third in goals with 21 while surpassing the 70-point plateau for the third time in his career.
"Slava is an established NHL veteran who contributes to the excitement and success of our team," Thrashers president and general manager Don Waddell said. "He is a key component to the momentum we are building heading into our fifth season."
