Dale Carter will miss a minimum of 6 games after he failed another test. They found a low amount of alcohol in his system. this guy keeps getting opportunities and wasting them. I wouldn't touch him after this if i was a GM

Alcohol is a banned substance? Everyone knows alcohol isn't a drug.

it gets pretty restrictive after you've been suspended a couple of times.

Not to mention he's been ordered to stay out of Victoria's Secret stores, banned from using artificial sweeteners, and has to wear golashes when going out in public!

Did he have his golashes on?

Good thing he's not on the Bills! We just don't need players who don't wear their golashes!

These guys are really starting to piss me off. They got a good life handed to them and just as easily they are handing it away.

Well Jeff, it's tough! It's tough when you're not getting paid like the best in your field. The last CBA the union negotiated left a lot of players out in the cold w/ salaries only in the $1M per annum range. It's really tough to make a living making much less than $8 or 10M in sports these days.

Patrick Ewing said it best: "Sure we make a lot, but we spend a lot too!"

I mean can you imagine having to live on only a few million a year? Then having to spend additional time doing endorsements just so that your wife and kids can have some of the finer things in life?!

Those guys just don't get those multi-7-figure salaries that most of us posters here get, and therefore it's really, really tough not to get into drugs and alcohol and other vices! I mean after working for 5 or 6 months out of the year and having all the assistance you need to stay in shape, I'm sure it gets frustrating not being able to do all the things you want to do for 5 months out of the year!

You've gotta understand, these guys don't have it as easy as the average American who pulls down millions w/ relative ease! No, we need to empathize and "reach out" to them! I mean can you imagine only earning a paltry few million a year? Wow! I just don't know how I could avoid turning to drugs and alcohol then!
