I thought Cardale looked pretty good against the 3s. Obviously that doesn't mean that he could look the part against 1s or 2s, but i'll take game one preseason that has limited excuses. it's nice to see him do well in the spot he was put in. too many times, we've been told to be patient as someone struggles in the preseason. that performance suggested that he is doing ok. his passes were largely sharp, he still delivered a 2 minute drive and he threw some balls into tight windows.
with the TT contract, the bills need to really keep an eye on TT as well as pushed for Cardale's development as well as perhaps draft another guy next year. the point of having TT for some time, even if he isn't a stud, is to have serviceable qb play until we get a long term starter. if TT isn't the guy, we bought time to develop a guy. and that ultimately is a good thing.
why the bills are still taking a lot of penalties at home, in the preseason, after a season of costly mistakes is shocking. it isn't about disciplined or not. It seems to be that they players still ultimately don't get what rex is trying to do. that's on the players and coaches to figure out how to get people on the same page.
