Brady doesn' play vs CHI - thumb cut excuse

    Oh Brother...

"Patriots quarterback Tom Brady did not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Chicago Bears after he sliced his thumb on a pair of scissors by accident, a source informed of the situation told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

Brady was in uniform when he cut his thumb on his throwing hand, Rapoport added.

"An accident occurred and Tom will be OK in time," Brady's agent, Don Yee, told Rapoport."...

Maybe this is the new thing, replacing all those years of him being on the injury report with a "sore shoulder."

Even though we expected to see Tom Brady tonight, it turns out he will not be playing. The Patriots quarterback cut the thumb on his throwing hand with scissors before the game.

The added weight of a properly inflated football cut his dainty hand.
