Must be they want more versatility and Gronk makes it

Yeah, Manny Lawson getting the axe is extremely surprising to me. Maybe there is something to the reports of a looming suspension? Dunno, but if not this move makes no sense to me.

Unless they have confidence in Lorenzo Alexander? Still, depth is kind of iffy if you ask me

Maybe a combination of things. Suspension coming, saving 2.3 mill in cap, wanting to use the cap to lock up Gilmore, and not as good at special teams

Randell Johnson cut- PS eligible

I think Bierman and Humber make it... or I'm at a loss with what we want to do at LB

I don't mind saying this move shocked me. It was only a 1 game suspension. Don't know how it could be performance based, he just came back from injury.

They just booted the only LB/DE who truly understood, bought into and performed as desired for Ryan's system. Remember, he was the one calling defensive signals by the end of the year. Effort guy too. Ryan likes effort guys who reliably perform in his system. Vet depth. Loyal, complained not at all.

Shocks me. To sign him back a little cheaper maybe ?

Not a huge shock on Felton, I thought he was pretty bad last year as a lead blocker.

Somewhat surprised that Lawson got let go though.

Duke Williams has tweeted that he has made the team.

Yeah, well if the suspension seemed like it would be larger than just one game (or whatever) would be the only way this would make a SHRED of sense to me. One game wouldn't do it for me, even if it were true...which I don't see any evidence that it is. They may "save money," but I'm sure there was a cap hit as well...what is it, a million or something?

The guy understands and could plug-and-play in several positions.

I just don't get it because it seems like we need him. It seemed like we were DEPENDING on him.

Not surprised by any of the cuts.. especially along the OL.

We couldn't run the ball or protect with our backup OL in the game.

Lawson became expendable after Lorenzo Alexander's camp and preseason. He even showed some decent pass rush ability and according to Rex is almost flawless with his assignments.

We have one LBer on the roster that really fits, and produces, in a 34 and he gets cut. Unbelievable. The only factor that would make sense is if the team was trying to avoid the monetary penalty for having three players suspended at the same time (and I actually think that might have been alleviated with the release of Karlos anyway) or if there is a lot more to the pending suspension than we know.

McCoy's last incident was debunked and Ritchie's was 2 men banging on each other when one guy got real sensitive. Incognito, Jerry and Pouncey admitted that they directed racially derogatory words toward him, including "Jap" and "Chinaman." At times, according to Martin, they referred to the Assistant Trainer as a "dirty communist" or a "North Korean," made demands such as "give me some water you ****ing chink," spoke to him in a phony, mocking Asian accent, including asking for "rubby rubby sucky sucky," and called his mother a "rub and tug masseuse." Martin and others informed us that Incognito and Jerry taunted the Assistant Trainer with jokes about having sex with his girlfriend. Incognito admitted that these types of comments were made to the Assistant Trainer.

On December 7, 2012 (the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor), Incognito, Jerry and Pouncey donned traditional Japanese headbands that featured a rising sun emblem and jokingly threatened to harm the Assistant Trainer physically in retaliation for the Pearl Harbor attack. Martin reported that the Assistant Trainer confided to him that he was upset about the Pearl Harbor prank, finding it derogatory and demeaning.

He's a rough guy and maybe in your politically correct world these are crimes, not mine. College doesn't count, who didn't do things wrong there in general and break some laws, underage drinking is perpetually broken by most.

I'm not saying that every person on the Bills needs to be perfect. If there's anyone that's a borderline player that is trouble, being cautious if going to be preferred. We recouped about $2 Million as well, so there's that factor as well as minimal dead money $1 M.

OK then, what specifically did ML do? Again his DV incident from 2-1/2 years ago didn't actually involve violence, so what was (else) there to make them get rid of him?

As far as specifics, I'd rather not get into specifics."

There is nothing out there that makes Lawson more troubled than those 2 like you claim he is. You have mo sources. Youre guessing. Weve already debunked your opinion ghat ML is overpaid too.

He's overpaid versus risk, which is something I'm not going to get into.

I love it when you are caught not knowing what you are talking about and then change your argument.

Caught doing what ?? Manny was let go because of the amount he made versus the risk of keeping him. You guys want specifics of what risk and I'm not saying anything. I say stuff and days later it happens, you'll see soon enough.
