Chiefs cut him.

Cut EJ the horrid and sign Murray. Cardale can be the backup for the first couple of weeks until Murray is up to speed.

I'd do it. I'd take Murray, or Coker for the PS, or McCarron from Cinci in a heartbeat.

One of my favorite college QB's. The years a wash if EJ has to play. Would rather see Murray and Cardale take their lumps over watching EJ kill my desire to live as a football fan.

EJ and Cardale aren't going anywhere. That's just how it is, whether I like it or not.

They still have Nick Foles, and Tyler Bray behind Smith.

McCarron's contract runs through 2017. However, after that, he will be an unrestricted FA because in his 1st season, he was classified as having a non-football injury. CIN has stated that they won't part with him - backup quarterback is arguably one of the most important positions on a team.

If Murray was that good, the Chiefs couldn't see his potential over the terrible Nick Foles and nobody Tyler Bray? They're all complete idiots in KC? Andy Reid knows nothing about offense?

A very good friend of mine Is good friends with Asron Murray's mother. When the Chiefs were in Charlotte a few years ago for a preseason game the whole Murray family from the grandfather, parents, brother Josh who was on the bachelorette and now is on bachelor in paradise, cousins, etc tailgated with us. They were such a great family and down to earth family. I started rooting and following for Aaron. While he is OK I think even EJ is better than Aaron. He would not be an improvement. I hope someone does sign him but don't see the benefit for the Bills.

Doesn't say much for Murray that nobody even put in a waiver claim on him.

Mr. Pink
09-04-2016, 12:30 PM
Why would anyone put a waiver claim in for Murray?

He's been in the NFL for two full seasons, has never seen the field in a meaningful game and this preseason he threw 3 INTs, was sacked 4 times and fumbled 4 times all while throwing 0 TDs.

But there are still people who'd rather have that than EJ? I don't get it.

its not a question weather Murray is good enough to me but the fact that the Bill's won't even bring him in for a look, that includes others also. any other position other than QB and the Bills would sign 30 of them to see. not the quarterback position. and they wonder why they haven't made the playoffs in 16 going on 17 years. Andy Reid gets it, he always brings in QB's and will have 4-6 every year. Foles is the reason Murry isn't in KC anymore and someone will get at least a look at the kid. the problem with Murrey is his size , same size as TT.

Yes, let's once again ignore an opportunity to at least try to develop a QB from the practice squad. The football gods know we don't have room, we need more fullbacks and kickers.

You aren't looking at the long view here, probably because your unruly locks fell over your eyes again. The more fullbacks we vacuum up, the more we force someone to sign Felton and cost them money.

We already have 1 QB to develop on the roster in Cardale Jones, whether he develops or not is another story entirely but he certainly looked a hell of a lot better than Aaron Murray who's in his third preseason now did this year.

You know, from August 3rd, KC had Smith, Foles, Bray, Murray and draftee Kevin Hogan. That's kind of overdoing it.

The fact they drafted Hogan shows what they thought of Bray and Murray, since both are young.

No idea. I can't imagine trying to get 5 qb's meaningful practice reps.

Would you rather a fourth QB to carry on the PS, or an extra kicker?

Oh ho, there you go again. He's not a "kicker", he's a "kickoff specialist". You just don't think like an NFL GM/Coaching tandem.

Neither.

Either choice will never amount to anything.

When was the last time a PS QB did anything in the NFL? Has it ever happened?

I don't believe any of them have hit 'big', but that doesn't mean it should be ignored. The team didn't even bring in a fourth arm for camp, for chrissakes. Eventually there will be a Kurt Warner or Tony Romo that goes from PS to elite, but somebody that doesn't even try isn't going to even have a chance to be lucky.

Murray signed with Arizona's PS, BTW, who also have Dysert stashed there. They are carrying four total, with Palmer and Stanton on the 53.

Maybe they should sign ten QBs to the practice squad!!!!

They have a PS developmental QB. His name is Cardale Jones.

This obsession with Murray is weird.

He has been the NFL fro two seasons. In that time he has thrown as many regular season passes as:

1. Hillary Clinton
2. Bea Arthur
3. Elton John
4. Abe Vigoda
5. Axl Rose
6. YardRat
7. Richie Incognito
8. Jack Eichel
9. DraftBoy
10. Mike Tyson

But somehow he is better than EJ and is the answer to the Bills QB issues and it's somehow incomprehensible as to why they haven't signed him.

Of all the dumb things this team has done, this is the one people are focused on. Not having 187 QBs under contract.

Sigh.

I never said he was better than EJ, and he has also thrown as many regular season passes as Trevor Siemian, who I'm sure you are aware is starting for the defending Super Bowl champions this Thursday. There really is no need to go to Hyperboleville with the 187 QB's thingie.

In the interest of stoking things, CIN signed a QB cut from SF named Jeff Driskel to their active squad. They haven't used an opening week waiver claim for the past 5 years.

Wow. Wentz, Chase Daniels, Murray. They have a nice group of young QBs in Philadelphia. Chances are strong that at least one will turn out to be a long-term solution.

If two look good, then Philly can rape some crappy franchise (like the Bills) for the lesser of the two.

Sounds like smart GMing. Not like Tie Rod, EJ, and Cardinal Jones. The latter group sounds like a group of pimps from down on Chippewa.
