wait, WTF?

who the heck would EVER give a first for Sam Bradford? Even funnier is the Eagles just threw in the towel on this season. Have you heard how bad Wentz has been? Wentz has been a disaster in Phili. So the eagles just threw away their season, and the vikings just threw away a high first round pick (because bradford is a mess)

Talk about a trade that does nothing for both teams; though in the long run it will help the eagles out a lot what with getting the soon to be top 10 first round pick from the idiot vikings; the vikes could have got EJ Manuel from buffalo for a lot less then a 1st round pick and would have been just as well off.

It does something for Cleveland.

They're gonna have two top 5 picks in a draft that will have DeShaun Watson and Leonard Fournette that they legitimately could end up taking both of. And both are guys you can build a franchise around.

I much rather be in the position Cleveland is in vs Buffalo.
Cleveland is ripping the place up to rebuild.
The Bills just keep hanging on to fight to be 5-11 to 9-7.

What kind of hold does Bradford have on the league? JFC

There may be a good reason why the Vikes pulled the trigger on this move and gave up what they did to get Bradford.

Darren DeGaetano(who works for WIP in Philly and is an NFL insider)noted on Twitter that people close to the Teddy Bridgewater situation in Minnesota are saying that it's likely going to be a 2 year recovery; let's not forget that Bridgewater dislocated his knee-and that can cause nerve damage. AND he's facing multiple surgeries.

You might be thinking of Goff in LA. Wentz only played the preseason opener before injury, 12/24, 1 int, 89 yards before being hurt.

They might have been better off trading for Josh McCown for less or Manuel who will at least stay healthier longer without doing anything.

It's a great trade for Philly. They dump money, get picks and settle any QB issues that may have come up. They weren't winning this season anyway so Chase Daniels plays until the rookie is ready and they cash in next season.

No-lose for them. Zero effect on the gate - they always sell out, IIRC.

WTF are you talking about???? How are the Bills standing pat with all the roster turnover in the last two seasons?

Rick Spielman is committing GM suicide with this trade. The Viking better reach the SB or this trade will get him fired. If Bradford gets hurt again early in the season that pick will likely be a top 15 pick.

What? They coulda got EJ for a bag of chips and a 3rd rounder!

In Speilman's defense, he didn't have a lot of options. There is talk that Bridgewater's injury is severe enough that he won't be ready to start next season as well. He has a team they have been building and is primed to compete now, which may not be true in 2 years.

Bradford was just coming off an ACL last year and got better, playing really well toward the end of last season. There is huge risk because Bradford has struggled to stay healthy, but the guy does have talent. The QB options out there like EJ or McCown are not going to help them compete.

If Bradford manages to stay on the field this could be like when Arizona when they picked up Carson Palmer. Minnesota has a pretty good team and Bradford is stepping into a good situation.

It is a big risk, but given the hand they were dealt with Bridgewater's injury it was a pretty bold move.

Insignificant signings like Dareus.
Trading for dime a dozen running back and then giving him extension.
Wasting 2 1st round and 4th to trade up to draft a WR.
Signing Rex Ryan as coach.
Extending a sandlot QB.

All moves that will ensure we continue the 16 year stretch of mediocrity.

the philly reporters were saying he was pretty clueless and generally lost in practice; and yes, goff was a mess too. This is not surprising, when you draft a bunch of mid to late 2nd round talent in the first round. I would be surprised if either had a good career.

You could say that about all the NFC East teams. Two rookie QB's, Eli has a suspect OL and the very average Redskins win by default ? What a mess.

Bradford trade proves there are 10-15 acceptable NFL QB's on earth. College is all about option QB's that win for the school. The NFL backup QB listing has never looked worse. Desperation.

A great trade...for Philly.

Wentz showing better than expected. At the beginning of the 4th in their opener he's thrown for two TDs, no INTs, and 222 yards. Eagle fans have to be very happy right now.
