Vitale is a versatile, 6-2, 240# H-back type. He didn't do much in preseason, but is supposed to be a pretty good ST player.

Kind of surprised, I though Lattimore played well.

LOL...I figured we were top heavy at LBer and safety, and one of them would be the first to go if we picked anybody up off of of waivers...I just didn't think it would be for another ****ing fullback.

I would have figured they drop Gronkowski or O'Leary.

Rex has some love thing going on with Gronkowski.

Both of them, probably. We can't cut the Golden Bear's grandson, or Gronk's baby brother...that just wouldn't look good.

You're being too harsh. I took Gronk and Vitale 1st and 2nd in my all fullback & cb mock. My 3rd round FB, Sione Houma is still out there and available. We need to get him NOW.

Normally, I wouldn't believe you...but since it's in bold capital letters, then it MUST be true.

But try telling baby Gronk this is irrelevant...

My guess is that one of the tight ends will be dropped when Dareus comes back. They will have 4 weeks to sort that out.

I still would have grabbed Jace Amaro even if he made the HC tantrum. We'll see how he does in Nashville.

EDIT : Forget that, they had an earlier waiver claim, wouldn't have got him anyway.

We're keeping Gronk hostage for when we play the pats. Big brother Gronk is gonna have some dropsies when we play them or else.........

More likely a safety or interior OL

This is the same front office who resigns Jordan Gay, cuts Gay for Cundiff, cuts Cundiff to bring back Gay and then the next year puts Gay on the PS. Or the same front office who traded for Matt Cassel, cut Cassel, resigned Cassel, traded Cassel.

Nothing they do surprises me anymore.

So with Vitale gone this means we can sign Gay to the active roster now.

No...at least not yet. The two-kicker mania has been replaced with a two-FB mania. Throwing on the H-Back moniker is icing on the cupcake.

Who keeps two FBs on the active squad these days? :sigh:

We use the FB, like 5 times a year. So we sign Felton last year to a huge contract in FB terms, then cut him for Gronk, who may have held the ball 4 times in pre season and gained maybe 8 yards. Whaley is a ****ing idiot across the board.

They have a FB in an inordinate amount of plays to try to shore up their OL problems. As well as two-TE or H-Back sets. Not to run the ball with them.

They axed Felton for $$$ reasons - he was the 3rd highest paid FB in the league last season:

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/2015/cap-hit/fullback/

And they are on the hunt for another. Witness their claim for one after the cuts, who turned out to be injured. They need FBs to toss blocks and try to save Taylor's fanny.

It's a sad situation.
