View Full Version : Big announcement-introducing FUGLI

YardRat

It is with great honor and a privilege for me to be able to announce, coinciding with the beginning of the 2016 Buffalo Bills regular season, the newly-created message board movement known as FUGLI.

What is FUGLI?

FUGLI is an event based on a bet between myself and fellow poster feldspar (also affectionately known as 'feldspooge' or simply 'the spooge') and stands for
Feldspar's Uber Gay Looking Image.

What is the bet?

The bet is based on the number of wins the Bills will achieve this season. If the team wins 9 or more games, YardRat must display the avatar of the spooge's choice for a month...7 or less and feldspar sports a new avatar for a week.

How can other posters participate in FUGLI?

Throughout the season, after every Bill's loss, there will be a thread for other posters to nominate images to replace feldspar's once the results of the bet have been finalized. After the ninth loss for the team, all of the images will be thoroughly analyzed by a select panel of three members, narrowed down to five final choices, and the 'winner' will be determined by the vote of the members. Please keep in mind the TOS, no vulgar, pornographic, etc entries will be accepted.

How can we keep track of how the movement is going?

FUGLI has developed a precise measuring device for tracking the progress of the movement, known as the 'Spooge-o-meter'. The Spooge-o-meter will be updated as necessary, tracking the Bills' losses, and when the device hits '9' the event is officially decided.

Stay tuned...more information will be released as it is made available.

Hop on the FUGLI train, and have a great and fun season!

I knew something was up when I woke up on 9/11 and the first thing I saw was the clock, which read 9:11. True story.

Tell the truth for the kids at home though, LardFat. This started as a dare for you to sport a big gay avatar if the Bills had a winning record. You took the dare. After you dumbly discovered that it wasn't to be a reciprocal BET, I feared that you may begin to weep into your sleeve...so, being the sport that I am, I negotiated the now infamous bet you described.

I'm not so positive the Bills will have a winning record, but I do think that it's entirely possible.

BTW, the agreement was that the winner gets to pick the avatar. Where did you come up with this committee crap? First time I heard of that. If we're going that route, I want veto power with the option of using the avatar of my choice. Least you could do.

This is getting fugli alright. But the LardFat-meter is already way past 11.

YardRat

Gonna be a fun season, keeping an eye on the movement of the Spooge-o-meter, isn't it?

Yes, yes...veto power.

Who's running this show? We talked about how the winner was going to pick it...now, at the last possible second you introduce something about a committee? I'm not going to settle on something I deem less than satisfactory, Lardy.

If I'm going to agree on some vague notion about a committee, you gotta give something back...veto power.

YardRat

Veto power takes all of the fun out of it. I'm still choosing the final version, technically.

Veto power takes all of the fun out of it. I'm still choosing the final version, technically.

The fun of it is getting the worst possible avatar for the other guy. I trust myself to do that.

As long as we get the right one, how we get it wouldn't be the point. If I win and don't like the choice, we may have to revisit this. For now, we'll go with the committee and see if these humps know a great big gay avatar when they see one

How's that?

YardRat

I'm willing to re-open the conversation at a later date, I don't want to burn any bridges. I'm not going to insist on having any input to the avatar I have to sport if I do happen to lose, however...just so you know that up front. I'll leave my images fate in your hands, however you want to handle it.

Of course the loser gets no input. The winner is the one that should IMO.

But you are right though, in a way. Involving other people might be fun. We'll see what they come up with and go from there, if they wanna play. I'm game, as you well know.

I can't believe I'm having this discussion an hour before opening-day kickoff. Also, I hope nobody is offended by any of this. Could get a little out of hand with what others might come up with. Hope not.

No worries.

Go Bills!

Secretly, you wanna lose this bet. Admit it.

Bills are 4.5-point underdogs next week at New England, even though somebody's ma might be playing QB for our old friends. Go figure. I haven't been this interested to see how things unfold in a Bills game for quite a while. We'll see.

I read that the recovery time for a typical injury that Garoppolo has is 2-4 weeks. The Bills game will mark the 2-week point exactly. Hopefully, two weeks and he'll still be too weak...stupid way to put it, but what do you want for nothing? Would they rush him back because of Brissett's injury? Will they rush back Brisket somehow? Will one of the actual QBs be ready to play? Will Edelman start at QB? We can only be sure of one thing...Belijerk and the Pats will stonewall everyone about this until the last possible second.

Tune in next week to...these are the Days of Our Lives...

You bastard.

It would be more poetic if the Miami game resulted in a tie, which it could have been and probably deserved to be. Then somebody would have to lose next week, preferably you.

Freakin' Dan Carpenter misses TWO kicks of about 45-yards...the thing that pissed me off the most (besides having 10 men on the field in crucial spots) was that ridiculous play on 2nd-and-12 with the Bills on the Dolphins 19 yardline (or thereabouts) in overtime. A trick play involving freakin' Reggie Bush? I call that outsmarting one's self. We really want Anthony Lynn as Head Coach? Could not believe that play call. Lost 8 yards like clockwork, then Carpenter misses the fiedgoal.

I still think this is off to 8-8 land. Lynn's first game, Manuel has to encourage Whaley to stay here forever, Gilmore having the game of his life against Fitz to shank us for an extension, the happy defense playing as if reborn. They have to win to make everything that much worse so they surely will.

It was a dare. I dared him to get a big, gay avatar if the Bills had a winning record this year. That's it...then it turned into a bet, because I'm a sport and the deep chagrin because somebody thought it was a bet (and not a dare) for some reason. I said to our friend Yardie that, if he was so sure that "wrecks" was going to have a losing season, he should be willing to have a big, gay avatar if he were wrong about that...something to that effect. That was it. Never mentioned myself at all at first. Didn't think Yardie would take me up on it at all, either...then he did, after assuming unfounded things. Then it snowballed into what we enjoy today...

I didn't correct Yardie until I realized that he thought it was a reciprocal bet...never thought he would get that idea. The realization dawned on him (and you) when I said something to the effect that I had nothing to lose in the matter...then you were both like "wait...what?" Then I decided to make a game of it. That how it happened.

Go find that thread...

I lose either way, and that's where I'm pretty comfortable.

I don't think so.

It's just a damned good thing I talked you both out of wagering a kidney by asserting a common decency no one often cares to hear about in the depths of their savage impotent rages in such personal disputes.

Lost a hand in 2006, but I keep a bucket of other ones. I might have "a" hand in many things, just hard to say who it belonged to. Was it "mine" ? Well technically by possession. I like to put a foot in the water before diving in too. And I keep an eye on things. Hard to put a finger on it unless I put a finger on it as well.

I lost more than two hands when I was in Vegas, along with my shirt and my ass.;)

But I did OK.

Gambling will be your downfall it seems. Can't even win a bet with Yardrat.

No regrets.

Our true colors shine sooner or later...for me it'll be very, very soon when you see what I'm made of.

Nothing wrong with that, is there?

Only that you lost a bet with Yardrat. I never have (snicker snicker).

Yeah, I thought the dancer was your best option too.

I think you're ok, no matter what everyone says about you, you know.

Maybe I knew it was a dare from the beginning and manipulated the outcome to become a bet.

I used to shoot pool for money, back in the day.

I notice you didn't mention if you were successful at it though, only that you used to shoot pool for money.

I used to as well, heh, I'm a terrible pool player. Won maybe three games in my whole life because my gf at the time let me win.

One thing about shooting pool for money, you eventually run into somebody that is better than you...sometimes on the same night.

I know, my gram beat me at 84 after having a stroke, and my cousins kid beat me when she was 6. Only cost me $200 a game though.

Best I could do to post an avatar of my boy at less than 10KB.

As you know, I like them bigger and sharper, but the pics here were too high of quality to do better than this...if you see what I mean.

Can't even see with clarity his huge, strange unnaturally large nipples, ya know? Might be his best feature.

The time is around 7:27 right now.

Sometimes you just scratch on the 8-ball, Mace.

I know the feeling.

Good choice.

I look forward to when Michael Myers returns, though. Still one of my favorite avatars.

Sometimes you just scratch on the 8-ball, Mace.

I know the feeling.

Most often it was the cue ball that would hit a bartender, , break a light, bruise a hot woman in the kidney, smack a member of the featured band in the groin, fly out a window, etc.

I refused to shoot pool with one group of friends I hung out with, they could all win games shooting one armed, even the women. Somehow they took this to assume I was mythically good at it. So the one night I'm at this roadhouse with one of them, and this pair of guys with a palsy or something come in (no they weren't that bad but you could tell they never saw a pool table before). My bud decides we'll play them as a team, and badgers them into it, then badgers me into it.

Well, we won, mostly because my friend had to use both arms to compensate for my terribleness. Afterward I refused to play the worst of the two palsy guys because everyone was laughing at me, and my friend stared at me a long moment.

"Wow, you really are that bad at pool."

There was something I wasn't bad at though so we ended up rolling around fighting in the parking lot. Didn't matter though, he'd tell everyone for years I kicked his ass but I was the worst pool player he'd ever seen in his life, and he'd go on to describe my pool playing so everyone ended up laughing and I'd have to stand there and listen to it, because I was being a good "sport".

Anyway, an excellent choice, he's clearly a roughrider with overly large nipples but confident about it, in leather shorts, and festy glare, very much worthy of your saucy demeanor.
