Any chance the Bills go 2 decades without making the playoffs?

*Now it's only 3 more years*

I think so. Especially if they keep Tyrod.

Depends. If they jettison Wrecks sometime this season, they've got a shot to stop the streak at 17 or 18. If they keep him another season, yeah...they'll hit 20.

Any chance?

I'd imagine its an even money bet in Vegas atm.

Say Wrex gets canned after this year, we'll be on 17 years of no playoffs....

Next year = new coach, new systems, jettison of players = 18 years of no playoffs.

Then you have to hope that the new guys in charge pick the right players or get some luck or a combination...personally I feel it would be a total rebuild, hopefully, if we get a new coach and GM so that's 19 years.

Maybe...just maybe...you get there on the 20th anniversary of homerun throwback.

If Wrex stays another year, then it's gonna be 20 years+ of no playoffs.

None. Unless they hire a OL guru and hand over their entire draft control to him. Build for the future.

It's mind-boggling that a club has gone so many years with the OL in question.

There's no way to rationalize it - Tbe BUF organization top to bottom is a poor bunch.

I don't mean to be a wise guy, but what turned podunk 90' small-market CIN around was that the home gate fell through the toilet. Even now, there is little trust in the owner. There were several clubs last season that sweated playoff sell-outs.

BUF fans have to stop going. Stop paying for garbage.

2016 - Bills fail this year, empower Ryan fire Whaley
2017 - Rex and Lackey GM fail, fired at end of season.
2018 - New coach trashes the wreckage, Bills flop around on the dock.
2019 - Systems begin to develop, team becomes competitive, fight back to 8-8.
2020 - New Coach is arrested for selling fentanyl. Bills flop around on the dock. Staff fired at end of a 3-13 season for being part of his drug ring.
2021 - Newer coach trashes the wreckage, Bills flop around on the dock.
2022 - No clue, I died.

Twenty? Oh ye of little faith. This team has the sucktitude and commitment to mediocrity to surpass the Cardinals, Redskins, and Steelers. ****, I think they could sneak past the Kansas City Royals' 28 year mark.

Here's a more fun idea...

Who wins a playoff game in less years?

The Lions, Bengals or the Bills.

The Lions are at 25 years right now without a playoff win and the Bills are at 21 years and the Bengals 26...if none win a playoff game this year.

B'gals won't ever win - they play in a division with one of the league's darling teams. BUF suffers the same fate. "Just give it to 'em"

Yes. 100% chance if Rex Ryan is kept past this year.

It's all but guaranteed at this point. We aren't making it this season, so that's 17. Then we break it down, have two rebuilding years, then in the 20th year we show signs of improvement but aren't there yet. 21st year we finally make it.

This is the first time you're more optimistic than me.

The Bills' postseason drought is the longest active playoff drought in the NFL, and is tied with the Lions (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_franchise_post-season_droughts#Longest_post-season_droughts_in_team_history) for 8th longest postseason drought in NFL history. If we make it to 20, we'll be tied with the Saints for the 4th longest playoff drought ever. And if we manage to make it to 25, we will tie the Cardinals and Redskins for the longest playoff drought ever.

Russ is going to market it. Throw a big gala for the 20th Anniversary for the homerun throwback game. Weekly features of the 1999 team, T-shirts, coffee mugs, a halftime ceremony during the home opener, Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie PSA's....etc.

The Buffalo Bills honor the 20th anniversary of our latest playoff team!!

He'll leave no stone unturned.

They could make money selling decks of playing cards with BUF's 1st round picks on the back. They'd need additional joker cards - put head coach mugs on those.

A home game is played in Binghamton as the regionalization of the Bills' fan base levels up.
