Can't hurt to pick the brain of a winner.

Now call Ron Wolf and Ernie Accorsi up for more good ideas.

This and the fact Pegula was chasing Polian, adds to the thought Terry is clueless on how to find a talented young GM and coach.

It also adds to the thought that he's done with Rex Ryan and doesn't care how much he undermines Rex publicly.

Although the optics aren't good for Wrecks and maybe Whaley, considering Coughlin now holds a position with the league the meeting could have nothing to do with Buffalo's front office and/or coaching staff.

I actually think Coughlin could bring some sanity to this team and maybe even save the season if brought in soon enough. If we get pummeled today, it could happen.

Since the Bills are not permitted to name a permanent replacement for Ryan in season (except for Lynn) due to the Rooney Rule, any thoughts of the Bills hiring someone like they did with Marv in 1986 can be dismissed. The best they can do is hire Coughlin as a consultant. If Rex doesn't last the season, his replacement will only hold the title of interim coach with a contract that ends at the end of the season. That's not what Coughlin is looking for if he returns to coaching.

Just for information sake, if they interview both Coughlin and Lynn for the HC position why can't they name Tom the permanent replacement mid-season?

I think they can. Rooney Rule applies to GM roles and maybe even president Czar?

Coughlin brings discipline while also always playing the Pats tough, including beating them in the big game twice with a clearly inferior team.

That makes a great deal of sense. IDK what to make of it. We'll find out soon enough

If that is the case you would think someone within the organization would come out and say that explicitly rather then make them all look like clowns.

Maybe they should have weekly consultations.
