By Friday night my prediction NEEDS to be stated whether or not it's even vaguely correct.

With Amendola playing QB because everyone else went down, the Pats stuff another helping of humble pie down Ryan's gullet whether or not he likes it. Another critical Bills starter is lost for the year. Jerry Hughes commits an untimely personal foul, Jerome Felton actually has a rushing attempt on a broken play for -1 yards, Carpenter misses an extra point. Rob Ryan storms around, hair flying, Bills use up all their timeouts first quarter of each half, Marquise Goodwin gets hurt, Taylor is sacked 6 times from the left side, Incognito finally snaps and socks someone and Colton Schmidt has another fine punting effort.

Pats 31 Bills 16.

59-0 Pats

Their third stringer lobs 4 tds, they get two more TDs on punt and interception returns, and Edelman comes in and leads them on three more scoring drives.

I'm along these lines. Both teams are missing key people, but, one coach is playing pranks and doing impersonations and the other is laser focused on the game. This on is going to get ugly and might cost Rex his job. 33-0 Pats. Blount wins Fed Ex ground player of the week.

If I sincerely believed that had even the remotest possibility of happening I'd probably actually consider rooting against them for the first time in almost 50 years.

Will they be able to surpass the Steelers, Cards and Skins for longest playoff droughts in league history?

I don't think it will cost Ryan his job, we're stuck with him until the end of the year, but we were also all over Brady that second game last year, and I think Belichick holds grudges, and works to teach people lessons if they annoy him. I don't think Belichick would admit it, but I think Ryan annoyed him. He sat Edelman the once for making fun of Ryan's foot fetish when it became public. I don't think he'll waste anymore nice on Ryan now and he's capable of piling it on when he wants to.

If the game is close, Ryan really does have some potential if every team was New England and made him work hard, and working hard brings out his best.

If the game is not close, Ryan will never get this team to the playoffs, because his best is just not enough to get past a team he's faced twice a year for a long time and is 1-9 against in the last 10 games.
