People love saying oh the Patriots O-line is great, well when Tom Brady averages about 2.5 seconds from snap to throw, it's easy for the o-line to look good when the ball is out quickly the majority of the time.

The biggest drawback of a QB who is mobile is that they hold the ball much longer than a 3 or 5 step dropback throw type of QB. They tend to make an o-line look worse because of their propensity to pat the ball and move around a little. The upside of a mobile QB is the play can completely breakdown and they can make something out of nothing, unlike a Brady who most likely just ends up sacked.

On the first series, there were at least 4 plays where someone was in his face in less than 2.

it's not a high throw if it hits the WR in the facemask. its a high throw if it gets the elbows above the shoulders. Nothing dangerous about a pass into the face of the WR.

And before you say it, yes he does throw the ball high a lot. but neither of the two passes on that drive were high.


And I am going to say this - I'd much rather have TT back there then EJ, TT might be off target by 2' from time to time, EJ is often off target by more then 6' on a consistent basis.

thats revisionism at it's finest. we lost to the jets because the defense couldn't stop the jets. Typically if you put up 31 you probably should win. tyrod had a 297y 3 td game against the jets. we didn't lose because of a poor passing game. We lost because the defense was atrocious.
