Witty.
I would look at anyone like him to bring in. Just don't get bent over doing it, which is the Bills moniker.

We only have five picks next year atm, 1-2-3-5-6.

Actually I think we have the Cowboy's fifth also from the trade of Cassel...my bad.

A very good idea if we can get him. He played with Tyrod in Baltimore as well.

If we can get him for a 6th, it's a no brainer.

1. Tyrod is just fine
2. Smith has a cap hit of 7.6 mill this year, and 9.6 next year and the year after
3. Smith is 27
It's not a ridiculous thought. But, the money is a bit high, we're likely to draft 2 WR's this year, and that would be much cheaper.

Do it.
If Woods and Goodwin can't go we'll be starting a guy that has been on the team under a month (Hunter) and Powell. We have THE worst WR core in the NFL. Make some moves Douglas !

We're already wasting 3M for Bush .

Here're the details... http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/torrey-smith-7777/
2016 Cap hit =Remainder of $6M
2017 Cap hit =$8M
2018 Cap hit =$8M
2019 Cap hit =$8M
That's not terrible.

Also... With that contract thru 2019... We would be in a much better position to let Woods walk in 2017.

Dunno about Smith. I read an article that said he didn't get used much at SF - because of SF qb woes.
Assuming it's still true that it takes a lot of practice and some games for a QB-WR combo to click (I think so, barring some exceptional older wrs), I don't see him as immediate help - other than an a set of wheels ala Goodwin.
They inked this Hunter fellow a few weeks ago, and did use Tate. Against MIA, Hunter had 4 tossed his way - 2 catches, 25 yds, 25 yd lg, Tate was 2 for 2, 31 yds, 25 yd lg.
Good point re Woods.

Career stats are good... Averages 49 catches/year, 17.3 yards/catch, hasn't missed a game in his career... But he's only caught 49% of his targets. That might be concerning.

He was decent with BAL against CIN. Big wheels was his asset, IIRC.
I'm of two minds considering him...something for the future? Why get a mid-season guy with draft wrs coming up? We roundly wished Goodwin well in his Olympic trials so he would go. Do they think he might be a potential replacement for Watkins (injury bug) - perhaps.
If they made a play for him this week, he's be nothing but a fast guy streaking down the sidelines against NE.

I guess I'm mainly looking for him for this season (Wadkins, Woods, Goodwin out) with a potential for future... But no dead cap if cut. Just leaves us with lots of options for a low pick.

How about trade Sammy W. If Buffalo Bills still keep Sammy. W next year and Sammy W will hurt his foot again .

If Alshon Jeffrey is available, what's everyone's interest in him? He wasn't given a long term contract and it playing on the franchise tag. Has had injury problems before, but he'd likely be a solidifficult receiver for us.

I wish Buffalo Bills Trade Seantrel Henderson to Jets and get ( WR ) Brandon Marshall ..

If we could secure him to a long term contract I'd be all for it.

bills are still not deep enough to be trading picks to satisfy current needs. the bills aren't a playoff team that need to protect the fact they have a number of issues. they are the team they've been the last 16 years. a team that wins 6-9 games a season and has no consistency to be a playoff team.

Rodak reported Whaley said today they couldn't fit him under the cap.
Bills GM Doug Whaley says Buffalo doesn't have cap space ($11.708M, per NFLPA) to squeeze in "a guy with a $14 million cap hit." Alshon Jeffrey has a $14M cap hit.
