GOOD - now I just hope they make the right decision about playing McCoy or letting Gillislee get a full workload.

Whichever RB is getting the carries, we need to commit to him. The dolphins offensive gameplan was a disaster.

Dareus has learned the game well from Fool's Gold. I say he gets one tackle and an offsides

The Bills past 41 games he hasn't done much and has done alot of nothing.

If Dareus can manage to break Brady in half before the first quarter is over, all is forgiven IMO.

Oh? He has decided that he's finally going to play? Aren't we blessed.

True...but I don't see how anyone should act like it was his decision

Dareus looking more and more like the next fat Pat Williams all the time. Play hard one play, take one play easy, take yourself out of the game for the third.

I have lost a lot of faith in Dareus.

He needs to start playing up to that contract.

The Bills past 30 games...

Marcell Dareus

2016

Week 1: Nothing
Week 2: Nothing
Week 3: Nothing
Week 4: Nothing
Week 5: Nothing
Week 6: Nothing
Week 7: Nothing

2015

Week 1: Nothing
Weeks 2-17: 31 Tackles, 2 Sacks

2014

Week 17: Nothing
Weeks 11-16: 13 Tackles, 0 Sacks

In the Bills last 30 games he has 44 tackles and 2 sacks.

Well worth $108 Million.

Fools Gold.

.

First-team All-pros NEVER do "nothing." This is a rule.

You want to look at the stats of a Defensive Tackle who is constantly double-teamed and judge him based on that, then I question your knowledge of the position.

Even if he was "constantly double-teamed" (which he wasn't), plenty of players get double teamed and put up more than 2 sacks in the past 30 games.

Fred Smerlas had 18.5 sacks in 14 seasons, just over 1 per year. 10 of those came in two seasons.

Exactly why only somebody that doesn't understand the game would judge an interior lineman by his stats.

Before passing judgement, let's see how their sack totals and run yards against go over the next 9 games. If they get better, pretty much going to know why.

Apples and oranges.

When Fred played it wasn't the pass happy league it is now. He also wasn't the 3rd pick in the draft.

You wouldn't know an apple if I threw one at your head, apparently.

They didn't used to sack the quarterback back then? Yes they did.

You don't look at stats to judge a guy like Dareus at his position, generally. Vince Wilfork made First-team All-pro four years back, and he had THREE sacks that year. His tackle numbers were underwhelming as well. Why did he he make First-team All-pro with those stats? Could be because of his role...the position he plays.

Ya think?

You could find several other examples as well. Learn something maybe.

Smerlas was a true NT in a pure 3-4 defense. Dareus is a DT.

Moreover, Smerlas didn't take plays off like Dareus does.

We'll see about that.

Could be that Dareus will play more of a true NT in Rex's defense this year, from here on out. He's done it before, too.

Yes he did.
