All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Gotta think about cutting him this offseason regardless of cap hit on it, it's either pay him his whole salary against the cap and get a guy who's legit not interested in football or take your loss and move on.
It's a tough call though to be honest because of the money involved.

Can't realistically cut him for years now. Most reasonable hit because of guaranteed money is 2020.
Does this mean just towards the cap?
If cut he doesn't get the money?
If so, I'm cutting my losses and moving on.
Yeah in 2018 his cap hit is the same, basically, whether he's on the roster or not. 2019 represents the first actual savings, 10m worth of savings, 2020 is a year of his contract that I figure the team never thought they were gonna pay. 16m if he's not the team, 1m if he's cut.
If I was owner I'd take the cap hit and save the real money.
Or maybe I'd just wait out his next suspension.
Hard decision.
Not so much though, 2018 isn't really the year. You'd pay him 16.575 million, or he'd leave 16.550 million in dead cap. That's a lot of dead cap if you can even get a handfull of games out of him for near the same price.
I say 2019 because he'd make 17.985 million, but leave 7.8 million dead, saving 10.
Dareus is a big fat lazy worthless piece of ****. A worse signing than Mario. I wish the dude could be cut after the year. Then no more wasting resources on this fat blob.
It sucks that Dareus won't be playing this week but after this there is a bye week and a chance for him to get fully healthy and fully ready to play at his best level.
He showed some flashes against NE of how dominant he can be but being our of real football for four weeks then trying to join in at full go is not easy for a big man.
I think he will be a big time player for the Bills after the bye.
