9 total in the early games...2 more already in the late contests. I like it.

Some people miss extra points and others miss their fathers who they never met.

Me, personally, I miss extra points since my father was always here for me.

And in the same week Carpenter has his best game in recent memory.

I wonder if this week will make more teams realize going for it on two might be better than kicking the longer XP. I think Pittsburgh is the only team I regularly see doing it.

Yeah, I didn't think I would like that rule-change, but it's made things more interesting.

I like it too...unless, of course, it's Carpenter that misses the XP.

The whole point of moving the XP kick back was to not make it an irrelevant and automatic 1-point play. It's working. I like it too.

You like it because the Bills got a cheap win when they looked lousy.

From the B'gals fan site...

"Nugent was super accurate today.

He hit the same upright twice. Who does that? It can't be wider than the football."

I have no idea if this is true but it seems like kickers are missing the extra point at a much higher % than they miss 33-yard field goals

Yep, our soccer flunky was better than their soccer flunky, and that's why we won.

They went from kicking maybe 8-10 30-35 yard FGs a year to 40-50 so tough to judge. Not enough sample size IMO to compare %

There's plenty of data to look at, kickers have been kicking 30 yard field goals since I was born.

Different when you kick one a game if that and then go to kicked 2-4 a game. Kicking is mental too. Different pressure and once you miss one it's in your head. Uncomparable if you ask me. One of those things that's the same but diffferent

Kicking is as close to golf as you can get.

Dan Carpenter won AFC Special Teams player of the Week this past week, for whatever that's worth.

And it already cost them a game.

And it already cost them a game.

What game did it cost them?

Against Dallas if they just kicked the XPs, they still lose by 1 instead of 5. Dallas also missed 2 2 point conversions that game.
