View Full Version : We need Kirk Cousins if we can get him

It's obvious Tyrod Taylor is not our web of the future. He looks like Trent Edwards with the ability to run. This dude's first two reads are check down and then run. He can not get the ball down field. It is also obvious he cannot read defenses.

Kirk Cousins immediately makes this team better. Could you imagine Sammy Watkins with a quarterback like Kirk Cousins. Jordan Reed is now one of the better tight ends in the league. This guy knows how to use his tight ends. Imagine how much Charles Clay could benefit from that. This is a passing league and we need a passing quarterback.

He's not getting away from Washington

Ok reality check time. The Skins' QB woes have been as bad as ours. The last good one they had was Theismann. Even when they won SB's, it was with average QB's on the strength of running and D.

There is 0 chance he leaves.

Washington will franchise him again if it comes down to it.

Skins are probably making the playoffs, so they'll be keeping Kirk.

If you're going blue skies daydream, I'd prefer Dak Prescott. About the same chance.

OK definitely wishful thinking but Taylor has to go. Position needs to be up graded.

We have a better shot at Luck, goodluck with that.

Kirk Cousins will be judged on whether or not he can take the Skins to the playoffs.

If he does that he'll stay another season at least. That being said, the whole reason why he hasn't been signed long-term yet is that he struggled down the stretch last season and it cost them.

He'll need to prove otherwise for that contract. If not he could be available after the season.

Cousins was awesome down the stretch last season. Remember how is had his way with the Bills at the end of the season? I think the reasons he did not get the long term contract is that no one was completely convinced that his play in the second half of the season was sustainable.

Cousins will not be available. If he finishes out the season like this, he either gets signed or exclusive rights-tagged.

Ya true he actually finished very strong... Guess they want to make sure he can lead the team to the playoffs first...

They wanted to make sure it wasn't just a half season fluke, which he has proven it wasn't this year. They keep him whether they make the playoffs or not, I'm pretty certain of it.

Break the bank for him if he gets to FA?

You're dreaming.

No way he hits FA - they have too many holes to let an above average QB just walk.

LOL at the people that think he'll get even a sniff at free agency. Skins won't let him get to the restroom without signing him or at the very least franchising him. This is a pipe dream.
