With Clay’s status uncertain, the Bills promoted tight end Gerald Christian from the practice squad and waived kickoff specialist Jordan Gay.

LOL, Gay is gone again. We'll pick him up again next week...

I'd make Clay play, though.

Waive away the Gay.

New rule for NFL players: December through April is for butt stuff. No more in season births.

Some things are more important than a football game, and this is one of those some things.

Prediction: Nick O'Leary will catch his first NFL touchdown tomorrow and give the ball to "Justwin Baby," Clay.

Yeah, funny stuff aside I don't expect anybody to miss the birth of their children, that's definitely at the top of the priority list.

I hope your prediction comes true too.

How can we win without his three catches for twenty yards?

Congrats to Clay. This Jordan Gay stuff is getting stupid though.

Clay is open all the time he has to have a quarterback who will throw the ball to him, Clay might be one of the best tight ends in football he just is over looked in this offense because I think the lack of TT's ability to see the entire field.

Prediction: you're right but it makes the score 38-24 with only 1:49 on the clock.

I think when you're making $500k per game, you can chance missing the birth.

Clay's one reception for 3 yards on 4th and 27 after penalties instead of a Taylor sack at the line of scrimmage won't really change much.

500k temporary vs. Priceless and forever, I'd go with Priceless and forever.

Yeah as usual, we're a warm team that loses. Revel in the stats. Character character character. So OK, if he really wants to be there fine. But the money he's barely earned is going to his family as we all know.
Too soft for my taste. But we all have to politically correct. So yeah, skip work for half a million and maybe, just maybe, the child we be born at 5PM EST. And we'll pay you. So **** it, I guess I would go as well.
No I wouldn't. I would play. Favre played when his father died. It's not like Clays delivering the baby. He's really a non factor in the health of the child.

Well, let's be honest though. His cap hit makes him earn 375k per game, his base salary though after pro rated money really makes it about 94k a game. It's not anywhere near 500k.

Kudos to Favre. I couldn't have played when my Mom died, I was sort of close with her and we had an emotional bond and friendship. Even if it cost me 500k. Maybe he'll be around that child more than he will around the NFL, in fact make book on it. Maybe you are always fine when someone drops that you love, maybe you're fine with your woman having your child and not being there. I'm just not though.

I'm guessing it's worth 94k to be there for a moment of lifetimes (plural) instead of catering to other people. Maybe it's just me. You can't really think he'd make more of a difference to the fans than he could his lady and child, can you ?

So you how you all feel now? My bad, we have a QB that can't see the tight end so **** it. That why we paid him ump trillion dollars when he can barely run.

Absolutely.

Team could of used him last game. He's earning huge money to play ball, not use them.

amazing that so many of you guys would elect to not be there for the birth of your child. I took time off for my daughter. I plan on doing so for my son in march. I'm sure your wives would be totally cool with you not being there even if it was for work. this team sucks, but his decision to be with his wife for the birth of his kid is a non-issue, as it is in most workplaces.
