Pats clinch AFC East, 1st round bye...

The Patriots' eighth straight division title is an NFL record, breaking a tie with the 1973-79 Los Angeles Rams, per NFL Research. New England's seven consecutive first-round playoff byes are three more than the 1990s 49ers and Cowboys accomplished for second place on the list. The hegemony of Brady and Bill Belichick is incredible in a league that legislates against sustained success. The worse a team is one year, the easier its road to the playoffs the next. The special teams in search of a coveted dynasty, on the other hand, must continually overcome the NFL's systematic drag toward intentional parity.
    Stunner here, go figure.

When the dust settles, the scribes have time to collect their thoughts and put pen to paper, they'll look back on the Belichick era in New England as perhaps the greatest ever.

Ha! Only eight straight div titles and 7th consecutive 1st rd byes. Add them both they still won't beat our 17 straight and counting record. Suckers.

I hope they win the superbowl and that the tv rating are the lowest in the modern era. I think people are fatigued. its almost not even worth hating them anymore. its predetermined that they are going to get a free pass. why even watch the games to see the bs calls that go their way.

Problem is the tv rating won't be lower.

Viewership of Pats games, nationally, are the highest of any of the national matchups for the most part.

A Pats Super Bowl would generate large numbers.

A Boys v Pats super bowl would have huge ratings .
The NFL forgot the main component of any business model, the customer.
