Saints' Lewis hospitalized after hit

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- New Orleans Saints return specialist Michael Lewis was hospitalized on Monday after colliding with a teammate during a drill.

Lewis, who broke the NFL record for combined kickoff and punt return yardage last year, was taken from the field on a stretcher after he and safety Mel Mitchell ran into each other.

"It was a precaution," said Saints trainer Scottie Patton. "With the way the injury occurred we decided to transport for further evaluation."...
