The playoff drought is literally your own fault.

It's you, negative thinking Bills fans.

Ever read a Game Day Thread on the Bills Zone?

90% or more of the posts are negative.

I'm not being superstitious either.

There is real scientific data to back up the power of positive vs. negative thought.

The Water in You

http://water.usgs.gov/edu/propertyyou.html

Water is of major importance to all living things; in some organisms, up to 90% of their body weight comes from water. Up to 60% of the human adult body is water.

According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%.

What happens to anything composed of mostly water when you feed it positive or negative thoughts/words?

"If thoughts can do that to water...Imagine what our thoughts can do to us."

Stop being such a negative Nelly and think positive for a change.

It works.

Tell the past to kiss your ass and embrace the future.

Happy New Year.

It's mostly your fault though Imp, you keep changing your positive focus to combat the negative without simply focusing on a positive and sticking with it. The positive harmonies just about get to making a difference and then you distract them with something else. Focus, young man, maintain it, then truly you can control your water.

I remember the early days of BZ. Remember how the 2004 season ended? We barely missed the playoffs when we lost to the Steelers' back-ups. Most people were crazy positive about 2005. However, there were a few detractors, including me. We took all kinds of **** on this board for being "negative nancies" because the overwhelming perspective of Bills fans at the time was positive. We know what happened: 5-11. The positive vibes did nothing.

Remember the 4 straight SB seasons? I was still in Rochester back then and there was just this buzz over all of WNY. It couldn't have been more positive. And it still didn't get us a SB.

The mentality of fans means nothing.

The mentality of fans means nothing.

Hundreds of thousands of fans controlling their water hardly means nothing. It might not change anything, but it's pretty meaningful. I can watch a couple more plays without going to the bathroom if I'm not wearing my diaper. Someone else might go to the bathroom and miss a good play. I mean they probably won't either, but they could. And then I'll laugh, Mister, and you can try to lecture me with your overwrought rhetoric.

I mean the people who post on this board are maybe .0001% of the fan base. Considering they still fill the stadium and sell merchandise not everyone is as negative as the few people who post here.

And if you talk about the bills everyday even the most optimistic people as myself have a hard time wrapping our heads around some things you see on Sundays.

While I usually don't agree with you, I think the science of this is true, and the negativity is off the charts. So yeah, I agree it's not helping matters.

incompetent and wholly unqualified people at the management and player/personnel level is the more likely culprit IMO.

maybe when you are down to the final game and you need to stay focused, being positive it helpful. If the league expanded to two more teams in the conferences for playoffs, the bills drought would not have changed. they'd still miss. said another way, if they let 63% of the league teams into the playoffs, up from 50% currently, the bills still miss the playoffs. that isn't simply lacking positive thinking. it's missing everything. FIRE BRANDON, and this team has a shot. if you don't, they'll keep missing.

How is this?

I'm POSITIVE that the Bills haven't made the playoffs in 17 years.

...and I think my water just broke...

That the people on this board are .0001% of the fanbase and even the most optimistic are having trouble wrapping their heads around what they see on Sundays. That wasn't serious.

But if you hear the boos when you watch the game or even talk to a lot of people, I think yes, most people are pretty negative about the Bills at this point.
