Broncos HC Gary Kubiak Stepping Down

Per Schefter this morning. Apparently it is related to health concerns.

Only saw it this morning and didn't see a thread about it. My mistake.

      I have coffee now.

You're forgiven. It's about Kubiak's health I guess. In a league with a dearth of good coaches, it's sad to see him go.

        So counting...

        Kubiak out in Denver.

Chip Kelley & Trent Baalke out in SF.

        Who next?

        Monday should be interesting.

Would guess the Broncos try to retain Wade Phillips.

Sounds like he is going to talk about it tomorrow.

Lynn won two Super Bowls there... just sayin
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
          It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I feel bad for Kubiak but think he's clearly making the right decision for he and his family.

I wouldn't necessarily say he won them so much as he was on the team. In three years on the Broncos, Lynn had 2 rushes for 2 yards and a 21 yard catch for 23 total yards from scrimmage.

Was this better or worse then what we got out of Reggie Bush this season? Yet I think The King brings up a point that Lynn does have Denver ties and who's to say they don't approach to be their HC?

Doesn't have anything to do with what I posted. Lynn obviously has Denver ties and they should feel free to interview him. Bush is irrelevant.

What I said, was that it's more accurate to say Lynn was on a team that won SB's as opposed to the implication he was an integral part of winning them. Elways isn't going to recall his amazing contributions because he didn't make any.

I was just making a snide comment about Bush's lack of production compared to Lynn's in Denver.
