Washington was supposedly benched by Lynn last Sunday for not practicing hard ll week?

Either the players dont listen to Lynn or they are just used to the slacker ways of Rex .

Stop drafting Clemson and Alabama players would be a good start.

Third player in a week to take a thinly veiled shot at teammates for not caring. This roster really needs to be gutted of certain guys (*cough* Dareus *cough*) and return to a philosophy where talent alone without character is not enough.

because a former Clemson player is in the running for Defensive Player of the Year? http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/the-case-for-vic-beasley-to-win-defensive-player-of-the-year-121516

You can point the finger directly at Whaley. He's the one drafting these bums. If you are going to take a chance on a low character guy he better be able to play. According to Shaq Lawson it looks like this team is full of them.

there was a time during the drought where we weren't taking players from football factories and trying to be cute. ultimately, it seems like the scouts don't know what they are doing. they don't know how to understand the character of the player, what system is best for the player and team, or what long term system they actually are building for. al ot of our draft picks go on to be ok elsewhere.

And my guess is one of the guys being called out is A. Washington.

Yup! They have no bloody idea what the hell they're doing so they figure, if they just select players from SEC football player factory schools they can't go wrong.

The entire organization is under a spell of ineptitude and it won't end until everyone is fired and a real, proven GM is brought in to rebuild the entire thing from the ground up. ALL OF IT!

But it won't happen. These guys are all Terry knows. They're his friends. Hell i even read an article (was it Laconfora?) who suggested their wives are all friends.

I mean... it's gonna have to get much, much worse before Terry wakes up. Don't bother with your season tickets. There will be plenty available if we ever turn this crap-train around and you want to get them again.

That's possible.

The other possibility is that the scouts are just fine, but Pegula, Brandon and Whaley get enamored by shiny new toys. "This guy had a first round grade but he's still here in the 3rd? Other teams passed on him and our scouts red-flagged him cuz he tore his ACL and won't play this year, and he pushed his grandmother down a fight of stairs, but what a steal this late!"

Lonnie Johnson was awesome.
Do you remember that one time he caught a fake punt against GB with no one around him and thought he had an easy TD, so he was looking back behind him as he ran to the endzone? But he forgot about the returner, who blindsided and leveled him and LJ fumbled, ruining a perfectly executed trick play? That was hysterical and one of the many classic dumbass moves in team lore.

I could never forget that play. Back in the day he was my most hated Bill and didn't deserve to play on those teams.

They actually drafted some good players, but traded them or let then go via free agency while re-signing the Chris Kelsays of the world.
