All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
This is only a test
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Texans made playoffs but his job is still reportedly on the line. Brock O was a gamble that failed. Penn St. coach after Joe Pa scandal. Pats OC before that.
We know Pegs and his loyalty to Penn St. Can we connect these dots ? Not endorsing it but just bringing up the obvious.
Re: Hmm...Could Pegs Be Waiting Out Bill O'Brien ?
I don't think anybody is 'waiting out' considering the interviews that are scheduled for the rest of this week. If O'Brien does leave Houston before the Buffalo job is filled, however, it wouldn't surprise me if they rushed him in for an interview or 'nudged' the expected hire to consider Bill for OC at least.

He got his team to the playoffs a few times with lousy QB play. That could come in handy in Buffalo.
They got in because CIN picked up a scrub place kicker after they finally canned Mike Nugent who obviously hit the wall last year,. Eeverybody knows that the Cincy owner won't eat a contract.
Re: Hmm...Could Pegs Be Waiting Out Bill O'Brien ?
Interesting idea about O’Brien. Having lived in Houston for a while, he never has been a good fit for the team for some reason and there is a small chance he is let go. A very small chance.
My speculation is that the Terry and Kim have not thought this whole coaching thing through as much as we give them credit. It certainly has the feel that they are making this up as they go along. Their detachment may account for the hiring of Rex’s brother, the firing of the OC, the firing of Rex and his brother, the benching of the QB and the Whaley news conference. If Terry and Kim have some secret plan they have done a masterful job of concealing it. I do have to give them credit, they are now working their asses off on their yacht and we all can relate to that.
It's also a lot easier in the AFC south, where a 9-7 record, playing 3 other bad or mediocre teams, wins the division.
That theory doesn't work as well when a 12 or 13 win season is needed to win the division.
Exactly. As much of a trainwreck the Bills are, they probably win that division each of the last two years. I agree with k-oneputt, though, that O'Brien is probably a best-case scenario for HC.
"Miami played pretty damn good today and still got their ass kicked."
Re: Hmm...Could Pegs Be Waiting Out Bill O'Brien ?
This may be one of those careful what you wish for things because O'Brien is not exactly a well loved figure in Houston, even after the playoff appearances. His personality has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and many reporters, players and fans would be happy to see him go. That is why I think there is a small chance he is let go if they lose this weekend.

Bill Parcells and Tom Coughlin weren't the nicest of guys either but they won and so has Bill O'Brien. I could care less about personalty and more about results on the field.

these 9-10 win coaches that want to be heralded as genius' kill me. Marrone, O'Brien. personality matters. if you are a hard coach but get incredible results, people look the other way. if you aren't getting results, that personaility kills any chance of a rally. it just lets the team stew away.
