Texans revel in depth at tight end

HOUSTON (AP) -- Bennie Joppru, a Minnesotan admittedly out of his element in Houston's wilting summer heat, wasn't the most likely Texans player to be last on the practice field Monday. Yet there he was.

``We worked on tucking the ball away,'' the sweat-soaked rookie said after his fourth training camp practice in which he had the ball knocked out of his hands twice after catches. ``It's a little different in the NFL than in college. (Coaches) tell you things and they make common sense, and it's like, 'Why didn't I think of that before?'''

Tight ends coach Greg Roman, who also baked a little longer Monday morning to tutor Joppru, so far has been impressed.
