I like this too. But Whaley and Brandon are still part of the organization. And I have read various reports saying Whaley would control roster and some that said the new coach would have final say.

I think this is certainly a Whaley hire that allows him to maintain complete control of operations.
If this does not work out then I expect nothing less than a complete rebuild from the ground up.
That means both Whaley and Brandon need to go and the complete revamping of football operations must take place.
I hope for the best but expect status quo.
