I looked at my weather sources, which are aviation in nature, and don't see a problem with the surface conditions.
Not good between Friday and early Sunday, but precip in rain form from then on.
Cover the field, should be OK.

Field can be ok, but can anybody get to the stadium if the NOAA predictions and those of other predictors hold true?

They predict the changeover to rain is around 1 PM, and it would take time for the rain and rising temps to get rid of any significant ice accumulation. What about potential power outages? Ice forming on the seats, ice on the steps to the seats, the railings?

Might not be a bad move to move the start time. Bad for ratings, b ut not unprecedented.
They are in for a real mess Sat and Sat evening for sure.

IIRC, WNY had a bad one about 5 years ago - in November?

There was that big one in the late -90's that hit Canada very bad.

They might not have the power on by then if it goes off.
