Hogan made that drive possible with 57 yards over several plays and a TD.

Yea...amazing what a WR can look like with a real QB :puke: throwing the football....

He wasn't good enough, Wrecks would rather have Salas. Branch is another current Pats player that could've stayed with Buffalo.

Why why why bills cut him. What the **** Hogan is a traitor 😡

I remember how Hogan was called 24/7 in the locker room in buffalo. Because every time they looked at the game tape he was open. every single play.

I thought it was an exaggeration, till the pats grabbed him. The moment I heard NE signed him as a FA, I knew his nickname was real and no joke. Leave it to the bills to misuse a pro-bowl talent and bury him in the roster as a little used slot receiver for 4 years.

Close, but it was 7-11.

Le'veon Bell might be done for the day. Not good for Pittsburgh.

Killed my chance to win some fat fantasy money as well, seeing I've got Hogan too.
Yeah we don't need Hogan. Doesn't fit our scheme, whatever that is.

I always knew Hogan would be a stud if he had a top qb throwing him the ball, Amendola and Edelman on the field with him, along with one of the best tight ends and a top 10 running game.

We should have kept him, as long as we had those other things, too.

Yeah, I have to admit keeping him wouldn't have helped much here.

I wish they would have given that fumble to Pittsburgh.

Hogan now holds the playoff receiving record for the Cheats, 9 for 180. Not sure because Simms wasn't exactly clear, but I think it's the yardage not the catches.

Woods , Goodwin etc are better receivers than we think they are. We just dont have the qb to show how good they are.

Nah, Goodwin kind of sucks, Woods and Hogan showed you things. Goodwin would make some deep catches but he's got no intermediate game.

The sad part is they lost him to save $400-something K. They gave him the "original round" tender, and since he was an UDFA it didn't take any comp to sign him. for a little more, they could have tendered him at the 2nd-round level and nobody would have touched him.

Selective outrage.

Hogan had similar numbers in the regular season in NE as he did here. He has one good game and everyone is all in an uproar.

Hogan would not have blossomed here, he would have looked like he always did here, JAG. Yet a good bit of our fan base and maybe even our nit wit GM will be calling for us to use another first on a WR this year with no one to throw him the ball.

2 first rounders for a part time WR didn't help much.

Hogan shines as the 4th or 5th read who is open after their elite QB pulls the coverage away from him with his eyes. All the Pats need to make a guy look great is someone who can find the hole in the zone and sit there until Brady finds them, then get some YAC.

Makes you wonder how good some of our players are if they had a better QB. Still, no reason for the Bills to match that offer. He would never have done that with us and also, his regular season numbers were the same as they were last year with us.

GOod player though. Going to need those types when we finally get a QB.

Goodwin this year has improved . He's no Watkins, thats for sure.

I guess when it comes to our receivers , you can pretty much double their output if Brady was their QB.

QB makes WRs (and OLs), that's not a secret. Wonder why the Steelers are known for wide receivers in recent years when Ben has been at the top of his games?

Steelers followed the same "cover when facing a top QB; blitz against a lesser QB" idea yesterday. But Brady was great. Move when he had to (and to the right places in the pocket). Stayed in when time allowed. Not always getting the Steelers coverage from the snap, but managed to find out subsequently.

So far the only reliable formula beating Brady remains the Giants': getting pressure and sack with front 4.

For the Bills beating Pats is playing against their back-Up QB's at their house, 2 years in a row none-the-less we have been victorious.

I wish Hogan the best. I want Atlanta to win the SB but if the hated Pats win and Hogan gets a ring, I'll send congrats to him.

Bills signed him, played him some and lost him to FA. He wanted to go to a team with a QB. Had the game of his life yesterday but didn't figure heavily in the Pats O during the season, much like Buffalo.

The Giants,49ers and Miami cut him. Didn't play him at all. What are those fans saying ?

Hogan fits what they do on offense....a lot of short precision routes, that require good hands.

It was a classic case of finding talent that fits your scheme.

Hogan actually runs a fair number of deeper routes for NE, like he did here. This isn't about scheme. It's about the QB. We could have Julio Jones and Larry Fitzgerald outside and Antonio Brown inside and Tie Rod would still not crack 300 yards.
