Does anybody know if the Sabres will be on Empire this coming season?

I think so. I thought they agreed on this season.

Yes, they are going to be on empire. Gollisano & Quinn announced last month that they will honor the contract that adelphia singed with the sabres for their broadcast rights. I think that contract runs through 2004 If I'm not mistaken..

the contract was for like 5 or 6 years, but the question is whether or not Adelphia will disband Empire and put the Sabres on another network ie, MSG or YES.

Time Warner in Rochester just moved Empire to the "Digital Sports Package" for $5 a month. It would pay the $5 for it, but since we have regular cable, we would have to get Digital Cable ($30), rent the box ($5), and get the Sports Package for another $5. $40 is just not worth it.

If Adelphia is smart they will realize that Empire is :hump:, kill it and show the Sabres on another network, otherwise ratings will be even lower than they are now. For now, I'm pissed that I won't be able to see any Sabres games on TV :angry:
