I thought this was kind of surprising since he's pretty cheap. Probably won't happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing him return. I'd rather pay McKelvin 2-3 mil for a season than the 14 mil that Gilmore is looking for.

Re: CB Leodis McKelviin released
I've never been a fan of McFumbles but who do we have that's equal or better? With Gilmore about to hit the FA market, this move makes no sense.
Then again, we should all know by now that competence is too much to ask from this FO.

Re: CB Leodis McKelviin released
I'm assuming Gilmore is gone since I read that the team offered him $10.5 mil/season last summer, but he wants top 5 money. I'm a fan of Kevon Seymour and wouldn't mind seeing what he can do depending on what they do at QB. If the plan is to start over at QB with Cardale Jones or a rookie then I would prefer that they not waste money in free agency and just roll it into next season.

I can't really blame Gilmore for turning down $10.5M. That is what Byron Maxwell makes, and he is younger and the cap has gone up.

Re: CB Leodis McKelviin released
Well, McKelvin is 31, had concussion and hamstring issues in 2016, and was ranked #71 among cover corners, while playing in the Schwartz system where he was ok.
This leads me to the fabled land of No

Hell no! Anyone on this team is better. For someone who keeps accusing people for settling for mediocrity, youre settling for crap. Mke2pvin blew in Philly which is why Schwartz got rid of him.

Re: CB Leodis McKelviin released
I met Leodis and I'll assure you that he doesn't have a career waiting for him in the booth or a commentator, he makes Shannon Sharpe sound like Adam Schefter.
Good luck to him & thanks for the failures to finish, you won't be missed.
P.S. The team's collective IQ has just gone up 17%.Last edited by Skooby; 02-09-2017, 03:07 AM.
