    Veteran Ravens to get nights to themselves as Billick relaxes rules

    Reward for good behavior allows established players to go home after practices
    Known already for running one of the lighter training camps in the NFL, Ravens coach Brian Billick is becoming even more lenient.

    Starting Friday, veterans will have the option of going home after practice and meetings rather than having to stay at the team hotel in Westminster throughout the three-week period, as was the case in previous seasons.

    Most teams that have their training camps away from their normal facilities do not give players the option to leave on a regular basis. But Billick said he is trying to build an identity with this team, and he is depending on the honor system in observing the 11 p.m. curfew for those players who choose to go away.

    I don't know...is this really a good idea? Isn't part of the purpose of training camp to build a cohesive unit?How are they going to do that when half the team is taking off?
