Gotta give Jerry some prop. He could probably get something in return, but he won't do that to Romo sending him to a place he does not want to

He'd fit well in Denver

I'd guess that had Romo be willing to come to Buffalo, Tyrod would probably be gone by now.

Still think he lands in Denver, or most likely Houston.

I'd almost bet that Romo is a Texan by the end of tomorrow.

I have no problem bringing him in.

I doubt he is interested in getting broken behind our OL.

Our OL looks like special ed students next to the Cowboys OL.

I was betting he would end up in Cleveland.

So they still haven't released him yet? Is Jerry having second thoughts and trying to wrangle something out of Houston in exchange?

Per a report this AM, Romo is going to retire and go into broadcasting.

If a player retires does that effect the cap differently?

Not that I know of. Any remaining amortized bonus would be pushed forward to the current year regardless of retirement, waive or trade. Unless he waits until after June 1st to retire, then I believe the dead cap hit affects next year.

I need another barber but he'd probably fall and break a leg or something

Friends don't let friends sign Tony Romo.

But if I was putting together an all pro hot tub team, he'd be my #2 pick after Gronk.

ESPN's Adam Schefter and Todd Archer reported Romo will go into broadcasting after the Dallas Cowboys release him Tuesday. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed the quarterback will retire.

Romo is expected to replace Phil Simms and be paired with Jim Nantz as CBS' top game analyst, according to Sports Business Daily's John Ourand, who added more details regarding Romo's decision:

Just a couple of weeks ago, Fox was considered the front-runner to land Romo, since it carries the NFC package that Romo knows so well. But a concern for Romo was that another former Cowboys QB, Troy Aikman, is the net’s top NFL game analyst, and he is not likely to leave the booth any time soon.

Schefter and Archer's report states the Cowboys are expected to designate Romo as a post-June 1 cut, meaning the signal-caller will count $10.7 million against the salary cap in 2017 and $8.9 million in 2018. The move will clear $14 million in cap space.
