    My first question is: "Who?"

Hey, I'll take whatever we can get at this point.

Prior to this signing the only WRs on our roster were...

        Sammy Watkins
        Walter Powell
        Dez Lewis
        Kolby Listenbee

That's the ****tiest WR corp in the NFL. Adding Philly Brown don't really bump up the quality, but we ain't even got the quantity.

        More WRs please.

Quantity I agree. Quality I disagree.

Sammy when healthy (he's due) is top talent.
          Walt is pretty good.
          Dez is pretty good.
Listenbee we don't know yet, but he's got Olympic speed as a WR not just a converted track star, so I have hope.

Tom Brady wins a Super Bowl with this bunch.

Let's see if Tyrod can take us to a playoff game.

NFL.com draft profile says he's thin, has relatively small hands and average speed. He's lets passes into his body rather than snatching them with his hands, and his route running is not particularly sharp. Despite all that, he's managed to stick with Carolina for three years and has been reasonably productive as a 3rd or 4th receiver. I presume he must have improved some parts of his game since college to be able to have lasted this long. Hard to see him as more than a depth signing though.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Over the last 2 years, Philly Brown will rank 2nd on our team in catches.

I feel like you have a pretty lose definition of 'pretty good.'

Brady could make due with virtually any receivers. He performed well with some pretty awful receivers in either 2005 or 2006, maybe both seasons. He's the greatest QB to ever play the game. Not a fair comparison. Most QBs could NOT make due with these guys.

Sammy is great when healthy but he's a guy who usually misses 7-8 games on the regular. So that's a big handicap.

And see Joe Fo Sho's post regarding the other receivers.

14 combined catches for Powell, Lewis, and Listenbee (granted he didn't play but relying on a 6th round WR as quality is not too realistic).

We ain't looking too hot at the position.

It's amazing how people don't know who this guy is. Did anyone watch Caroline during the superbowl year? He is not a bad player at all. Now skill wise he's basically Donald Jones. But he knows leverage and spacing and finds areas in the field to get the ball. He also will go all out to make a catch and is a solid role player

Really no one knows who this guy is?

Joemama. Yes I agree. It's insulting when people even compare Montana to Brady. You should not be considered the best QB ever when you play with one of the best RBs, TEs, and the best WR of all time. Along with arguably the best coach, who invented a scheme which helped revolutionize the QB position.

                      Top 5 QBs imo
                      Brady
                      Elway
                      Unitus
                      Montana
                      Eventually Rodgers

At this point, it would appear that WR and DB will likely be our top 2 needs heading into the draft.

I could easily see the Bills going WR, DB, WR/DB, QB in the first four rounds.

Go get Kamar Aiken and then draft Howard or Davis. Justin Hunter could probably come back for next to nothing, as FA shows minimal interest. This Philly Brown fella could get cut after training camp.

We don't have a fourth rounder atm, but I wouldn't be adverse to trading back a couple of times and picking one up.
